2018 TOTS MASK LETDOWN

I am personally really disappointed in Trick or treat studios…they have released some really terrible looking/fitting masks and this one only adds icing on the shit cake. The mask is NOT going to fit you if you have a larger head or if youre a taller person. I think its terrible that they not only made us all wait soo long to recieve the mask in the first place after releasing them to party city and spirit halloween which are terrible stores…but the size/paintjob/and accuracy is NOT there AT ALL! There is NO way this mask is from the “movie mold” as TOTS “claims” theyre liars. james jude courtney is atleast 6’2-6’3 and atleast 235-245 pounds. Anyways id like to hear input from as many people
As possible as I am beyond disappointed in this mask and TOTS in general. What a bunch of jerkoffs. In order to make this mask look “movie accurate” you’ll need to pay another $200 for re-hair and re-paint so youre better off purchasing a deluxe version of the mask from a private seller. Im sure they would get it more right than TOTS led us to believe. All in all…yes…its mass produced so in a sense these things are sort of expected…but I mean seriously? jesus christ dude. Lets be real, its Pathetic. I felt they owed us this ONE mask to get it right and re-store alot of our faith in TOTS but sadly, that is as far from the actual case as possible. Please id like to hear input!

It’s a $60 mask. At least you aren’t the guy who bid $3,000 on a copy lol.

I’m 6’1, 190lbs. It fits me good. I have a smaller head. I do think it looks good for a $60 mask. Although not perfect. I’ve seen shat blanks look closer to a creep than this mask looking like the movie mold. So it makes me think it may be a different mold or what

How many more people are going to make this exact thread?

Its a $60 mask, you get what you pay for imo. Strip that finish or peel it off rather and you’ll see the potential of the mask. I do believe its from the movie mold as theres videos overlapping them in comparison. Now which screen used mask was used to make the mold that we dont know. Jjc and nick had different masks, their heads are different sizes obviously. Saying that jjc head cant be that small just because of his height and size is just an assumption. His head could be on the smaller side and his hair being shaved short or bald plays a role as well. I have long hair which makes it hard to wear most masks.

HMMM…Yhea, I guess I got lucky on my copy. Mine is not overly distressed and the fit perfect. Sure I could look into a redue but I’m happy the way it looks. Again… it’s a 60 dollar mask. I think they did a great job.

I have a bigger head than anybody here I’d say, with few masks fitting. I finally found a copy that did fit and don’t feel the need to overhaul it. $60 well spent

Mask looks good in certain lights :jack_o_lantern::jack_o_lantern::jack_o_lantern:

Yes the size seems to be hit or miss for some people. It’s all about your head shape AND the pull you received. JJC may be tall but the shape of his head was used as a base point to design this mask and yes the TOTS mask is from the actual film. As for the paint and hair, if you want the mask to look good you will have to pay to have it redone or do it yourself. There is absolutely no way around this, unfortunately. The paint jobs are absolutely terrible on EVERY SINGLE mask I’ve seen so far straight from the factory. They look more like grandpa from Texas Chainsaw than The Shape. However, with the right touch ups you can have an amazing piece.

I thought all doubts could be put to rest that it’s the movie mold when we saw the TOTS that Jackson Rupert did up, credit to CollectiblesUL for the photo. Not sure if he’s still the owner of the mask.

be careful peeling paint off of TOTs masks. I tried to peel the paint off of my Elrod and it tore the cheek open. I’ve never seen a mask with such bulletproof paint. Lol.

Totally disagree. For a $60 mask, you can’t ask for anything better. I’m extremely happy with my Trick or Treat Studios H18 mask. As far as sizing goes, it fits me like a glove.

Very upset about this copy. I was going to buy it for myself to actually wear, he bought it to sell for $3,000 apparently. The artist wasn’t asking 1/10th of that price and I am disappointed. Buying a mask to flip it when somebody would have enjoyed it at the ARTIST’S price just doesn’t sit well with me

Definitely disappointing brother, I’m with you.

I’d bet my house that the person who won this auction doesn’t pay for it. Or it was actually the seller trying to make it seem like the auction went that high so when he relists it people bid high on it. In other words… this auction was total bullsh!t.

I’m happy with mine, it looks good for a mass produced mask and it fits me fine. I only really have them for display anyway so it wouldn’t be a major issue if it didn’t fit

You shouldn’t expect to get a masterpiece out of 60$ and what we did get was pretty great imo.

Also considering it’s illegal to lie about your product, i’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that’s the actual mold… and for 60 bucks too!

I know the buyer is crazy to pay such an amount but it is just disgusting to me overall. I couldn’t have that on my conscious. Maybe I’m the fool but I’ve lost money on masks just so people could have something in time for Halloween. Obviously not telling people to telling to take a hit but to allow somebody to pay that much is just morally lacking in my opinion

I really, really hope so brother. Just judging by the fact he didn’t relist and already has a new copy up that’s already near $500, I unfortunately believe the buyer just spent a car on a $60 mask
