Are you sure about that man? I swear he only shot six times in H1 (from a six shot revolver) They didn’t screw it up 'till H2 but hey… It’s still a classic sequel

Some of the ending of Halloween seen in Halloween II were alternate takes from 1978. (The scene where Laurie tells the kids to go down the street…that’s actual take 3 of 5 takes. I have that footage in the original 1978 Halloween 35mm outtakes.) 1981’s Halloween II footage actually begins when we see Loomis’ face at the balcony and we see his expression of being “shocked” to see ‘Myers’ gone instead of the original 1978 version of “I knew he’d be gone.”
The Sound Editing Team did the flub…somewhere I read that they (The Sound Editing Team) thought completely forgot that Loomis fired 1 shot into him from the hallway. How the Director and the Producers didn’t realize it is beyond me but Halloween II’s full potential still has not been seen.
I don’t recall him missing the first shot.
as far as i i know when michael is putting the mask on loomis shoots and slightly
misses him and it makes michael jump back then loomis walks into the room and
fires 6 more shots into him.

This is kinda where the continuity errors start.
In “Halloween” after Loomis’ first shot into the ‘Shape’ blows him backward from the hallway, we then see ‘Myers’ standing in the bedroom with erratic, heavy breathing, like he just got shot; then the rest of the shots shooting him backwards out the balcony.
In “Halloween II” after Loomis’ first shot into the ‘Shape’ blows him backward from the hallway, we then see ‘Myers’ standing in the bedroom with no heavy breathing really, kinda normal like he didn’t get shot; then the rest of the shots shooting him backwards out the balcony.
And why is Laurie wearing different jeans in the beginning of H2? In the end of H1 she has Big Bell jeans on, Then in the beginning of H2 when the Paramedics put her onto the Hospital bed she all of a sudden is wearing Straight Leg jeans. I don’t know…Just Curious
