Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!
Jim as far as this mask goes your 75k was my inspiration. I loved the H 1 vibe your 75K gave off so when my turn in the rotation came up I told JC I wanted the mask to capture the daytime look of the hero which I always thought your mask did. Special thanks go out to Mike(evilsmelly clown) who originally steered me in JCs direction over a year ago. I appreciate all your advice brother. You were right when you told me to be patient and “wait for perfection to arrive”. Lastly thanks go out to the man himself. JC. You’re the man, you’re a class act and it was a pleasure dealing with you every step of the way! In the past I would have just said the heck with it but because I didn’t finally after 14 months of waiting the hero is on its way!

Well this was a true story about my son shying away from this one when night fall came! :laughing: Thanks to everyone in here, I simply can’t tell you all how much I appreciate it! And hey Doug… I would have said “heck with it” a long time ago as I am NOT one that likes to wait for anything!! :laughing: But I’m glad you decided to hang in there, and I think you will be very happy with this one once the box is opened! Hopefully my turn around time is getting better as I am able to get more masks done in a given time these days, compared to the past! :rock: But as I’ve said before… I will never rush a mask out of here, no way, no how! Not my style at all!

Thanks again and again, guys! Thanks Earl…eye cuts are at least 70% of what it takes to pull off a good Myers. Hairline is the other 30%! Now paint… oh well, you can have good eye cuts and hairline, then just a flesh colored mask and it will still scream “Myers”.

Loving this mask! I can’t believe it’s mine. For so long I would see masks you had done for other members and I would be so jealous that they had the mask I wanted. Now I don’t have to be envious anymore because the hero is coming home. That first black and white pic on this page would make a great avatar since I don’t have one. Not sure how or if I could use it. I absolutely love that shot!! Absolutely screams H1 hero! Also want to thank everyone for their kind words regarding this awesome mask! One final thought regarding the mask. He came home.

Thanks JC, I still lurk around. Things got real complicated here a few years back. Masks going for ridiculous prices and extremely limited runs, members getting burned on runs and deals (Myself included), to all the legal nonsense thrown into the mix. Can’t even imagine what it was like for Derek to even manage this place throughout all that. It just soiled the whole scene for a while. It’s the honest guys putting out great work like yourself that really keep this hobby alive. :smiley:

Eric, I know exactly what you mean brother! There’s been a lot of shady business in this community, and that’s why I just don’t deal with certain people! But I’d never let those few run me off, I just do what I do the best I can, and keep on Rockin -N- Rolling! I’ve seen and heard farrr too much BS… (a lot of this from people that claim to be your best buds!) Nah, I don’t need all that extra baggage! I just love the Myers and Halloween vibe here, and the great friends and customers that I met in the past 8 years or so. If there is a post that I can tell might possibly be full of stinky BS, I simply avoid it and let others get in there and do what they do best! Derek has done a fantastic job over the years to filter out the nonsense here, and for that, I am grateful for him and his efforts! So Eric, with all this said… I wish you would come back around here more often and join in. Here’s some effective advise that I have given several other friends and members, “Just stay on the main streets, and out of the back alleys”, if you know what I mean?! It works great, and you will find yourself gliding right over the silly stuff, and having a much better experience! :wink:
