Can anyone tell me the difference between the 98 proto test masks and regular 98 proto mask? Any pics would help. Thanks!
Noone knows the difference between the test mold and normal 98 proto?
The test mold 98 proto has more rough spots in the mask that have not been smoothed out compared to the regular 98 which is smoother and more refined. Some people prefer the more “rough” kind of look to the pulls. The test mold also is a little bit larger in size compared to the regular 98 if I remember correctly. I believe it comes in at around 24 or possibly slightly larger. The attached photo is of the test mold. As you can see there is a lot of rough markings in the pull especially in the ear, neck and side of the face. In the regular 98 most of these imperfections have been removed. However, I feel that the test has a slightly more accurate shape to it. The regular 98 is a little more round shaped in my opinion. Hope this helps!
