Hey, so I come with a random question that hopefully here, my second family, can help. I’ve bought 2 4k players, a ubk80 LG and a upb x700 sony, and both were crap. They made loud noises while trying to watch Halloween 1978 and 2018. Both only did it with 4k discs and apparently it’s from a loud disc drive. Is there any 4k player that’s good quality and plays quietly while operating, any info would help, thank you.
Only reason I’m posting this here is because I’ve tried everywhere else and no one has helped. I trust you all and hope y’all can help.
This is what I bought literally 2 days ago for Halloween 4K and it all works absolutely flawlessly. You gotta make sure you have the 4K player, 4K hdmi and 4K display settings on your tv/monitor to get the absolute best photo quality. I was blown away!

Does yours make any noise, because that’s the one I bought and it made noise while playing the movie.
When it played 4k discs, the disc drive was loud, almost like a humming noise and it was distracting. Maybe I had a deffective one
None, which is the weird thing.
What issues did you have with the 700 besides the noise? It may have made those noises from trying to run itself too hard if improper equipment was used? Otherwise may be a defective model

Yeah, I have a 4k television and I have this high speed hdmi and I think it’s 4k, but not sure, will the disc drive in the 4k player not be noisy if I have a 4k hdmi?
I’m thinking that it’s not the disk drive, but the system kind of overworking itself because it’s not having enough power for the output through the HDMI mine is playing Halloween 4K right now and there isn’t any noise at all, just a slight hum which is pretty standard I feel.

I just found out I need a 4k player to play my 4k movie, lol. Good thing my steelbook has a blu ray. I need a way better TV though before I go buying a 4k pkayer
Yeah, in case you didn’t know, you’ll have to get a 4K TV.
A PC but you need the right Intel cpu with embedded gpu and Cyberlink 17 or 18, the former which is absolutely asinine. Have no idea why NVidia and AMD GPU’s aren’t compatible (they can play 4K content, just not the disks).
