Any H40's going to be produced outside of Trick or Treat

I was advised by an artist that TOTS is being hard on independent artists and no-one else will produce them.

That is unless of course, you get an independent quote for a one of a kind mask and have it custom made.

Is this true.

There have been a few made already:

Elder Shape
Don’t Post Studios H40

The first isn’t as accurate and is cheaper to find, the 2nd was more sought after and released in a limited run starting at $450. Nobody is going to be making an H40 replica as the rights belong to TOTS. You can search for one that was made but truthfully an overhauled TOTS is much more accurate and cheaper as well

Im waiting till the heat dies down and the indie versions start creeping out…the tots version wouldnt fit me anyway and id rather give the indie guys my money

That is the same problem I have. I picked up an H40 and it is small. I keep hearing that it is from the “movie mold” but why such different sizes then.

Outside of TOTS will there be opportunities for the indie crowed to produce “their” version of an H40.

I’m going to wait for indie masks to start popping up too. I’ve only gotten one good look at the TOTS H40 and that was at my local spirit store last month, I gave it a close look and tried it on and decided it wasn’t worth buying if I can get probably much better looking one if I just wait a little longer, which is exactly what I plan on doing.

Nobody is going to be producing an H40 mask besides TOTS. If anybody does, they will be sent a Cease & Desist. The TOTS comes from the movie mold anyway and with indy masks being about $400 I’m not sure why spending the $150 to overhaul the TOTS is an issue

It would be a issue for me as it wouldnt fit mate lol.

Does the h40 mask have some legal protection that none of the other masks have ?

my only fear of Tots getting the h1, h4, and h5 license,…is then they’ll have 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 2018 licenses. And they’ll start suing anyone else making a mask.

They come from the indie mask community and they’re making money hand over fist,…and yes I know that purchasing the license is very expensive and I can appreciate the business side of things form their point of view,…but at the same time they come from the Indie community so it’s weird to see them so quick to be going after people.

I assume it’s all just going to go further underground. You’re not going to be able to make fans stop making things for other fans.

But it’s disappointing to see a company get successful then turn around and start eating their own family.

This is one I have on the way. Its the “Elder Shape” by Sykotic FX rehauled by Fear Focused Studios. Paid $200 for it. I hope too see more Indi artists make their version of The h40 Mask. I know Don’t Post Studios and ASwift Creation also make H40s. I honestly love the TOTS also it just needs a new paint job, I repainted mine. Top 3 pics are my repainted tots, Bottom is the Indi mask.

If y’all want the 2018 Indie masks to be available, you should probably keep who makes them in the PMs. Just my opinion.

I would recommend getting a tots for display though. They look nice once overhauled.
Here’s one I did.

Thanks guys. I have a TOTS for display but the size is the issue. I wish TOTS would make good masks that fit and don’t need to be overhauled. Quantity over quality I guess.

Looks awesome. I just wish it would fit my head. I fit the dela torre line but not these.

They might have said they have no plans to make a larger size but originally the had no plans to make a variety of sizes for their H2 mask and eventually they had no choice. I’m assuming with the popularity of this mask they will make a larger version sooner or later

making a mask smaller is easy enough, but larger? Eeek.

That would be good. Would not be going the indie route then.

But they went smaller with the H2 not bigger no? Ie. H2 Deluxe Small and childrens etc. For me, the ToTS 2018 was really tight and I felt small. The first day I had to drag it down my face from the eye holes. Now it fits like a glove and maintains shape and my Elrod and H2 Deluxe now feel a bit overly large.

I do think the market is bigger for the smaller size than the larger as is the savings for ToTS in terms of latex used. But here lies the rub, I can always pad and use paper and tape to fit a larger mask properly, but a smaller mask not fitting you are pretty much screwed. I do think eventually once they get more in restock they may add a H40 2018 in XL size or something but they are big on pushing the mold/sculpt of the screen used so who knows. Everyone should have the chance to buy a mask that fits especially as the only officially licensed game in town.

Indie masks are already creeping out which is good to see

This is my Indi H40 mask, I absolutely love this thing!
