He didn’t rip me off, just wasted my time. I was selling a JC Knife and he said he was interested, and asked for pictures. So I took them and sent them. I see that the PM has gone out of my outbox. I wait a few days and still no answer. So I send him another PM asking if he is still interested. He asks if the knife is still available and apologizes saying he got caught up in two other transactions. He says he can’t seem to find the post how much was I asking. I said 100 and 20 for the hock if he was interested. He once again reads my PM and NEVER answers me. So I ONCE again PM him asking if he is still interested. He then says not for the price because he can get one from JC for 85. So I say I will sell it to him for that price, with free shipping. That was April 8. He read the PM and once again NEVER answered. This dude is just a pain to deal with. Avoid him if you can.
As much as it is of a hassle to get the run around, I don’t believe it’s appropriate to post a topic in this manner. I myself have gone through this situation several times. Just gotta learn to blow him off and move on to the next potential buyer.
Yeah, I wouldn’t really say it’s a reason to AVOID him… but I can understand that you personally may never want to deal with him again.
But this is pretty common in this hobby. I’ve had people act like they’d sell their soul for one of my masks one day and then completely drop it and forget about it a day later.
It sucks b/c it does take up some of your time/energy sending pics, replying, etc. But it’s part of the hobby.
And while I may choose to AVOID individuals for the way they act or a ‘disappearing act’, it doesn’t mean they will act that way towards all members.
Sometimes it’s even a one time occurrence because life gets in the way.
If I said I’ve never backed out of a deal, I’d be lying.
But I do agree that there is no excuse for not sending out a simple PM to say “I’m no longer interested.”
Bottom line for me is that I will NEVER hold a mask/collectible for someone that I haven’t dealt with on numerous occasions and have positive experiences with.
I apologize. I just don’t want anybody else to be bothered.
Just went through similar situation as Mackenzie did.
Neonfire92 told me he was to Paypal me money for transaction on monday. No news on monday.
Asked on tuesday afternoon why money is not sent, neonfire92 responds he will not go on with transaction since a transaction in which he was involved as a seller went down.
Sorry thing I had to go ahead to him to ask him about issue. Guy came up with a debatable excuse and never told me is payment was conditionnal to another transaction.
Was’nt my intention to post this situation bu that makes two occasions with two different members on which this guy slips away.
I’ve wasted my time…
Thanks for original post Mackenzie !
