There is a certain level of snobbery and front-running that occurs with people’s choice for best H1and H2.The common opinion is to go with the mask that is the current flavor of the year and dog the Warlock.The bottom-line is that in it’s price range it is damn tough to top a Warlock.Sure many of the masks mentioned are fantastic and many of the pics provided prove that.However,the majority of those masks,once converted cost 2 1/2 times what a Warlock does.The Warlock,for a person on a tight budget is a killer choice.In fact,not even 3 years ago the Warlock was STILL king on this board.It is certainly an accurate mask.There are some outstanding copies and some okay copies,like any other mask,but for the dollar value,it is still an excellent choice.
so many Choices and opinions of whats best we’re back to that its all in the eye of the Beholder again,at the end of the day its gonna be your mask so if you see the warlock as your choice then stick with it or you’ll end up undecided and buy a bunch of masks you’re unsure about and will have spent a serious amount of cash in the process. 
When you look at this its kind laughable to think that a “Warlock” Even comes close.
FOR ME PERSONALLY, YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH A GOOD WARLOCK DONE UP WELL. OR A 99 SHAT OR 75K DONE UP BY JC.
THE WARLOCK IS A STAMP IN THE COMMUNITY AND STILL HOLDS IT’S GROUND AGAINST THE BIG DOGS WHEN DONE RIGHT.
WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE SOMEDAY. GO WITH WHAT YOU THINK REPRESENTS THE FILM THE BEST.

As much as I love the Warlock, I think JC’s 99 Shatner conversions are the top H2 masks.
That’s how I feel too Mike and just like Randy said above, I do love the Warlock. I have a Warlock that I will never sell or ever let go for any reason. It’s getting redone by James and will be that much better when it’s done. I think the Warlock is the “thing to hate” these days because of the obvious. Would I order one now…no I wouldn’t because of the obvious, but I still think it’s a great looking H2 mask and don’t think there is any reason to dis-credit it because your not happy with the maker. One hasn’t got anything to do with the other. A lot of people Hate Mel Gibson for things that he’s done and said, but love his movies. Now with that said I do think that there is just something about these 99’s that JC does that is outstanding and H2 all of the way. I don’t mean to “hype” up the mask, that is not my intention at all. Heck I have my Warlock in my signature and don’t even own a 99 H2 from James, but they are just so damn H2 it’s crazy. I should have stated in my above post that I’m not calling one or the other the best. I love them both and hopefully I’ll own a JC 99 someday and then I will own them both 
Ah man That is definitely my top one. I remember that it was just before I joined. I’d say nightmare and 75k are close, but both definitely need to have James’ finishing work.
BTW, Anyone know who owns that copy now?
I think it all comes down to who finishes the mask. Here are my two Warlocks by JC. I couldn’t be happier!

I’m a huge H2 fan. I think there are several good options out there. Tops would be the KHs (DW, SLE, or AS). The 75k/JC, Shat/JC, and Nightmare/JC and Warlock are all excellent choices and could compete for the top spot. The Mints are a great choice too for the hybrid look. The 99s are just okay for me. If you did get one, go with one that James finishes. Let’s not forget a good old Psycho 81 and NMM81. I would be happy with several of these but like it or not, the Warlock is still a great mask.
I agree with Matt.
The KHs are definitely top but the 75K and Nightmare converted by JC makes a strong competitor as does a Shat with JC’s hand on it. The Warlock is good for what it is but too thick and too “basketball” shaped, however some of the early ones are really good and needless to say the costume pics from t-doyle look great.
Well i appreciate what you say , I really do,but to me JC makes hell of a conversion BUT to me Warlock have best sculpt and when i buy warlock i will say terry to paint it like JCs masks and can you just tell me how much does cost JCs converting?
Just an fyi, that’s not a sculpt. Spend your money however you want. I personally wouldn’t send money to a liar and thief. If you wanna support that, go right on ahead. His mask was made from somebody else’s mask and pawned off as his own.

I don’t want to get on the Terry topic. The 1st Warlock I bought was back in '07, before this last big debacle. The other copy I picked up on here in the classifieds. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend CGP after everything that went on.
