I’m writing this as a notice to the community. At the end of January, I uploaded a 3D model of one of my sculptures to Cults, created from a scan of a William Shatner lifecast. To my surprise, a Facebook profile started using images of my sculpture as if they were their own work.
I’m glad someone liked my work enough to share it, but claiming it as your own is wrong. Even if you purchased the STL file, you do not have the right to resell it or misrepresent authorship.
When I tried to contact the person, I was blocked. I initially removed the sculpture from Cults, but after reconsidering, I reposted it with watermarked images to prevent further issues.
If you see anything, please report it.
