My opinion is Carpenter’s Myers is human, thankfully. That’s why he is scary and the later Myers are not. Humans are pretty much the only animal on earth that can be evil. If you combine a cold lack of emotion with the kind of adrenalin surge that allows an average human to be able to lift a car to save a loved one, you have the Myers in Halloween. To make him supernatural, means you can have him do anything and justify it, which is no longer so scary. [I edited this here, because the supernatural can be scary if done well, like the Exorcist or the Shining, and you suspend reason and go for whatever ride your taken on.] It’s his realness, his placement in the natural world, that makes him scary, you could be sitting next to him on the bus.
I voted “human”.I really find it way scarier to think that Michael was so enraged for no reason that he was able to go on perpetually.
Honestly, once Myers is being described as some guy, he seems less scary to me. That’s Rob Zombie’s Michael Myers. I thought that’s why many of you disliked Zombie’s portrayal of Myers, but the votes here do not reflect that.
The same thing is happening here that happened in the movie. Michael is being underestimated! He’s not human!
I agree…if he’s just a crazy dude with perpetual adrenaline rushes, it’s not as creepy or mysterious.
I’m also surprised to see the votes leaning towards him being human. That was the big misstep that RZ took with Myers, IMO.
Actually,if Rob Zombie continued to make the films,he still MAY be proven to be just as unstoppable/inhuman.He took a point-blank gun shot to the head and kept coming.He got stabbed a trillion times by Laurie in the last film,but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t come back.These movie villains can ALWAYS come back.That is proven with Myers,Freddy and Jason.If people will pay to see it,the character will come back from ANYTHING.
please no more rob zombie and his dumb wife. myers is human. 50 cent got shot a lot of times and hes still alive
50 Cent was shot 3 times, and he said he was laid out in the hospital for like 13 days. He didn’t just get up and walk away like Myers did. 
Even if you want to argue that Myers was just an adrenaline-fueled human dynamo, 6 bullets would at least take him out of commission for awhile. Unless he’s on the angeldust, I guess.
