One of the absolutely best collections in the community and a great guy to boot! Thanks for sharing Darren, you have one of the all-time legendary Myers’ collections!

Thank you for taking the time to post Darren!
I never get tired of seeing your awesome collection.
Ive said this before and will say it again, I love that blonde NMM78 :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
The Tramer is my favorite out of Tramer reps.
The H20 and H6 screen used is truely insane.

OMG IN HEAVEN YOU HAVE THE GREATEST COLLECTION OF ALL TIME HANDS DOWN AMAZING !!

Not only does Darren have one of the nicest collections of all time, but he is also one of the nicest guys in the business. His passion for the ā€˜Halloween’ franchise is amazing. He lives it. His masks are all in stunning mint condition and displayed in the most wonderful cases. I am proud to say I’ve had the rare pleasure of seeing all those wonderful masks in person and even though they look stunning in the pictures, nothing can compare to how fantastic they look in ā€˜real life’. Darren is a top notch guy, and a great friend. Well deserved.

That is just unreal. That collection is full of top notch gems. Thanks for sharing this wonderful collection of masks with us.

Amazing collection and congrats as it is well deserved to be the collector of the week.

Wow! Many thanks everyone for the fantastic and kind comments towards both myself and my
collection, i’m glad you all liked it and i was able to share it with you :sunglasses:
Not exactly what you asked for Jon but i hope this pic will be good enough
Thanks again mate for picking me and big thanks to everyone who replied and left great comments
much appreciated :sunglasses:

Well deserved pal!
STUNNING COLLECTION!
Great story too, I bought my first Myers mask from London. There used to be loads of memorabilla and masks shops there, sadly most of them are now stupid souvenir shops!
Thanks for sharing the pics!

:open_mouth: Astonishing shot Darren, truly stunning!

Great pick.
Always enjoy seeing your collection Darren, thanks for taking the time to post all that.

Hey everyone i just wanted to update this topic with a few new pics i have :sunglasses:
I was gonna start a new topic with my story and journey into mask collecting but then i remembered
about this topic so it’s much easier to just bump and update in this thread :sunglasses:

I also wanted to give a mention again about when Steve (Duel Truck Driver) visited Wales and dropped
in to meet myself and see my collection in person earlier in the year :sunglasses:
It was amazing to finally meet someone who i had talked to for years thru IM and share all my collection
goodies with, we went thru all the masks i had for a few hours and then of course watched Halloween.
Amazing how quick those 5 or so hours went on that Saturday, between looking and comparing all the masks,
watching the great H1 and just talking about the Halloween series in general the time just flew by
I was so happy that Steve enjoyed it all, pics of any mask are always good to look at but you just cannot
beat seeing them in person! He loved the 75’s, H6 and H20 screenused masks especially but i think the H20
was Steve’s fav lol! It truly was a blast and i hope that sometime down the road this kinda thing happens
again! Anyway here are the few new pics, i also wanted to add Steve’s story on when he came to visit!
Thanks again for the kind and great comments Steve it was much appreciated mate

Hey everyone,

I’ve just returned home from the best weekend of my life. I had a short vacation over Easter in Wales. It was an amazing time, and I enjoyed every moment. I spoke with Darren before I left, and we arranged to meet up while I was there, and he was kind enough to offer to let me see his collection.

I cannot describe how amazing Darren’s collection is with words, and I have never met anyone with such a passion for Myers/Halloween/Masks. You can see it in his eyes when he talks about anything Halloween related, and the level of quality of his collection is simply mind blowing.

Firstly I’d like to say what a pleasure it was to meet him. A genuinely kind, honest and friendly guy. We met up 3 times on the vacation, and I got to see the collection on Saturday afternoon. We spent around 5 hours just talking masks, and it was fantastic. He was kind enough to get each amazing piece out of his display cabinets for me to see and experience in person. I’ve never seen such a stunning collection of replica Myers masks, there were original run Nightmare man 78’s, Silent Rage, Warlock, Nemesis, Psychos, the list is endless. All of which were in perfect contition and like new. He knows the entire history of each piece too, previous owners, the year of making and so on. It really was fascinating to see. He even has a H5 display set up, with various editions of ā€˜The Brute’ mask.

I then got to see his amazing Kirk collection, with various editions, 99 Kirks, SSN Kirks, custom Kirks, totally fascinating, all again totally mint and each one had it’s own unique feature/quality. It’s so interesting to see all the different versions side by side. I have to say, the finishing work on the DB2 Kirk was out of this world.

Then the biggies. I have never experienced witnessing such an amazing selection of totally mind blowing masks. He owns a screen used H6, the screen used hero H20, Resurrection ā€˜made for the movie’ mask, and of course, not one, but TWO 1975 Kirks. I cannot describe how fantastic is was to see these masks in person, up close. The H20 mask is something else, it really is. The detailing in the paint, the thick head of hair, the crispness of the pull, it’s just amazing. There really is so much to take in, it’s hard to remember everything. I cannot express what a treat it was. Once again, each mask has certificates, history, artwork and all sorts which is all in mint condition and is utterly fascinating to read.

The highlight of the collection visit, has to be the 2 75 Kirks. I’ve wanted to see one in person ever since I started collection, but I never knew it would actually happen. They are 100 times better in person than how they seem in pictures. The 75 Kirk has something so hypnotizing about it. Every angle is obviously PERFECT because it is the grail. I even got to smell the mask, and it smelt exactly like how I imagined it would. Obviously the 2 Kirks look very different to each other, as one was converted years ago, and worn ALOT over all the Halloweens past, as alot of you already know. The other one is totally mint, untouched and amazing.

After viewing all of his masks and displays, I got to see the artwork he has. Once again, totally mind blowing. There is one piece, a picture of Nick Castle holding the mask, which was created with a ball point pen, and I have never seen anything like it in my life. It looks like a photo. You could never imagine how amazing the quality is without seeing it in person.

After looking through all of his superb collection, we chilled out, watch H1, had a couple of drinks and chatted all about the hobby. It really was a fantastic experience, and so kind of D to let me ā€˜into his world’ for the day. I also came away with 3 amazing new scores, a Loomis painting by Mark Crow, a Halloween snowglobe and something I’ve always wanted, a Knife Weilder mask by Ezra. An experience I’ll never forget, which was the cherry ontop of an absolutely perfect vacation.

Now for the annoying news. We spend over 2 hours taking pictures of all his pieces, and we got some stunning shots, but sadly, later on in the evening, whilst I was showing the pictures on my camera, I pressed the delete button and wiped the entire lot. I was so annoyed with myself I cannot describe. I had used up the entire memory on my camera, so thankfully, I used my cell phone to take a few shots of the Kirks at the time, which thankfully I still have. With all that being said, pictures really can’t capture the experience of seeing everything in person anyway, and I have all that etched into my mind for life.

Thanks once again D, it was a pleasure.

Here are some cool comparison pics of both the original KH/DW and the new Sle KH/DW masks :sunglasses:
And the 3 amazing artwork pieces my great friend Brett Ashworth did for me :open_mouth: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I love the KH DW/KH SLE comparison pics!!! I just posted mine last week. I love them both to no end and think they are the two best alive. I still do prefer the original KH DW but its like picking a porsche over a lambo I suppose. Amazing collection Darren…Simply the best in the universe!!! Congrats!!!

Great read and even better collection Darren. :sunglasses:
You’ve come so far over the years my friend.
That og 75 Kirk is just too much.
I love it!
