I agree 100% brother so If he wants to do that and take control that way, then so be it.
But, Actions speak louder than words, FACTS ARE FACTS, & Bry’s history speaks for itself.
Actually, Colby (Colbster) made him an offer after the first auction was thrown out, but Bryan turned it down.
Colbster’s post:
It is obvious that he wants $5,000 or more for this mask, but when you run an ebay auction without a reserve, you have to be prepared to get less than what you want. Such is the case with this last auction. The issue to me isn’t whether Bryan created a fake ebay account or not, but more of him not keeping his word.
This is not a witch hunt against Bryan. This would be wrong if ANY of us had done this. There is already so much shadiness in this hobby, I hate seeing more people go down that path.
Exactly Donnie" and im not Bashing Bry and i don’t know him and i don’t have the facts in front of me to verify that his auction was fixed with what ebay calls masked bidders bidding on the behalf of a friend so to speak, but ive seen this kind of thing so many times when ive been scouting for a mask its a trick of the trade that many mask sellers pull thankfully im wise to such deceptions and can usually spot it a mile off and i won’t allow myself to get pulled in to the trap.
You cannot block bidders with “0” feedback. It’s not an option. You can’t even do that verbally as the auction states. The only way to do so is to cancel their bids AFTER their bid and if needed you can then block them. Anyway, since the bidder and their bid was not canceled the bidder had 4 days to pay, as per Ebay policy. Did het get those 4 days? AFTER 4 days you can open an unpaid item case, not before. Bryan spoke of eBay sucking now and I agree. I won 2 items and had my money refunded and the seller canceled the transactions saying he ‘no longer had them in stock’ because the ‘one of a kind’ items he listed sold for much less than he expected so a valid solution to him was to say they were ‘out of stock’.
Whenever I list a high priced item be it a car or a valuable mask I always state in my listing that a minimum of 5 positive feedback stars are required. 0 feedback bidders bid, they get bounced by me, simple as that. You’d be best to have a close friend list the mask and use the buy it now or best offer feature. When I sold my Romaire Doctor mask on Ebay a few years back two idiots jacked up the price on the first day of the listing and then right at the deadline they both bailed dropping the mask from 1,700.00 down to $250.00 with 12 or so hours to go. I didn’t use a reserve in that listing and it was the last time I made that mistake.
Some really good points made by some…I don’t really know Bry much at all & have never delt with him but i do know he’s been around for a long time & has sold a lot of things via e-bay & here. I guess my point is, it would be a safe bet to assume his overall % is still fairly good but in this case here i do think it was a cheap move & agree with most of what Donnie has already said…BUT!!
For those (without naming names) that are trying to sound smart, wagging their finger at him should not be saying anything as out of 6-7 total buy’s/sells 2-3 of them have been questioned & one just about proven shady. If you have done 6-7 total deals & 2-3 of those deals have been fishy and or questioned deals, stay out of the conversation. When your only a little bit above 50% in recorded buy’s & sell’s on this site you have absolutely no room to wag your finger at anyone. Worry about your own iffy (feedback) % before you go talking about anyone else’s deals.
