Difference between 98 Proto cast and 98 Proto?

I’ve been seeing some 98 Proto cast surfacing on the net and I’m just wondering what the actual difference is between the cast and the regular 98 Proto Nik does? Can anyone explain to me?

I believe they are the same mask, I know the 75K Castle is a cleaned up version of the 98 proto with a slight stretch to it.

The proto cast is a more direct pull, regular proto i believe nik tweaked slightly

Proto & Proto Cast are the same. Nik did a first run using a more rough & larger mold - those masks were called “98 Proto Test Mold”.

Dude, i totally read his post as proto test mold vs proto cast haha i could have swore he was asking the difference between the test mold and proto cast, thanks for clearing it up

Thanks, still a bit odd that Nik would add “cast” behind his proto’s , that just threw me off because he usually does this with his retools, had me thinking it was a different somehow.

Standard Proto: Retool of the 98 Proto Cast
98 Proto Cast: Direct recast of the Don Post 98 Proto Mold
98 Proto Test Mold: A enlarged version of the 98 Proto cast
