Dirtknap FX

Hey guys just wondering the pricepoint the Classic 78 currently goes for? I bought one back in 2013 but am looking to get a new one and Tim has been insanely busy and haven’t been able to get a hold of him

I’m in the same boat, I’ve contacted Tim a couple times but no response either.
Any help or further details we’ll def appreciate it.

Yeah I can’t recall the price I spent when I got it directly from him the first time around. Drawing a blank! While most want the H40 knife I just want another Lamson lol! And the resin stand he creates looks exactly like real wood. Beautiful display piece for sure

If anybody can clarify with certainty the current price of the '78 it’d be much appreciated!!

I paid $160, knife with shipping within the US.

Yeah he just got back to me… $160, damn. I originally got mine from him for $80 I guess times have changed. Want another but don’t know if it’s worth all that

Went ahead and bit the bullet. I’ll post pictures when I get it. Loved my original so much and am assuming the quality is even better than the ones he used to make

Tried to inquire about a Framers Claw hammer from him. Taking no new orders at this point.

When did you inquire brother? He was on a hiatus; busy with family and work but now has been taking orders for Halloween again

Haha that didn’t take long. I feel where you’re at. I saw this and it was hard to wait when I did, but I cannot wait to receive this. He’s been updating me along the way, dude is a stand-up guy so far. Don’t think we’ll be disappointed.

Yeah man he really is a stand-up guy! I had an H20 from him years ago that I regret letting go, I had no idea he stopped the production of those. Man that blade was MASSIVE. Originally he charged $80 but I didn’t realize my Lamson I purchased from him was damn near a decade ago! I can only imagine the improvements he’s made over the years. Always loved JC’s work but the sturdiness of the Dirtknap was something unmatched by any other replica I have ever held in my hand! It is truly like holding a real knife, weight and all! And although made of resin, those stands look just like wood and do a remarkable job of not only holding up the knife; but they are truly a beautiful display piece in themselves! I was a bit hesitant at first and then remembered who I was talking to and had to bite the bullet and get another Lamson! He’s been keeping me posted on the Case knife and even though it is all but confirmed that is the knife used in H1, the Lamson has always been the knife closest to my heart (thank God not literally  ) so I am more than happy to grab another one from the king himself! I truly believe he is in a league of his own with these things and next on my list is definitely one of his Elrods!

That’s pretty cool! This is my first go-around woth Tim but so far the overall experience has been pleasent.
