Don Post Studios 1975 Captain Kirk measurements.

This is very informative, especially for artists,i go by eye on my hairlines and don’t do any measuring but this is insightful for correct hairlines.

Yea Josh really one of my favorite threads my good friend. Such valuable info man!!

May I have the honor of doing the overdue yearly bump? :drinkers:

Great post, I always thought the hero was 22" but going by this its about a 23" and the same size as some of my fav masks.

I will bump this again. I have recently acquired a JTK that was snug, but manageable on my head, but then I started looking at how the mask fit, and the different places it pulled, etc., and I think it’s spot on for the size and thickness of an original 75 K.

How many layers of hair did the 75’s have?

Thanks,
Matt

Five, wasn’t it?

I thought it was 3-5, just wast sure.
Thanks man!!
Matt

I wasn’t either, lol.

Bump! Love this thread .

This should be a sticky thread!

I second this!!

Nice job, Chan! I’ve missed quite a bit in the past decade plus and these Kirk threads are making catching up so worth it.

2 year bump!

So the mask had a 23 inch inside diameter?

Perfect info, although I’d really love nose and face measurements as well…

Are these measurements for inside the masks, or the outside?
Which one is the actual DPS 1975 mask? Top left or top right?
Thanks.

They’re outside and all of them are Don Post Kirks

Thanks!

I think it’s funny how this topic keeps getting new threads and people are always speculating, yet the definitive answer has been right here the whole time. I personally have known it was always here, but it’s just funny how you can literally find recent threads where people are arguing back and forth about this when all they had to do is dig a little bit through the archives.

Most of the answers to a lot of questions on these forums are already here, folks just have to do the digging and they will find what they are looking for. This place is packed full of a wealth of knowledge.
