I bought a pair of worn in Carhartts off ebay, and they are so worn that they are almost white. What colors of Ryt Dye should i use to make the coveralls look replicated to the H2 coveralls and what techniques can any of you share?? Im sure this kinda thread has been posted before. Just cant find anything…
Everyone suggest doing like green tints of dye but I just used black rit dye and it turned out great.
I tried 2 packs of brown and let sit for 30 to 45 minutes(in the sink). Then just rinsed and spinned out(washer) and dyed for
about 10 minutes then hung dry. I repeated the same process with 2 packs of black. Now they are a brownish- purplish
color. Im going to get 2 packs of the color remover and start over. I need some inputs on this PLEASE!!!
I never did the washer thing with the dye I just mixed in a spray bottle and put it in there and sprayed it in then scrubbed it in with sandpaper it was alot of work but I am really impressed with the look.
This is how they look now with the 2 browns then the 2 blacks. The light washes out a little bit of the black. Does the liquid black turn out better(not so purple)?
This is about how im really wanting them as of now…
what gave them the purple tint…the brown or black?
