YEA I saw a man cry the other nite, we had a birthday party for my wife ,and we lots of grown up drinks, and my brother n law got drunk and his wife ( my wifes sister) had to take him home and he was lookin at me thru the car window crying in the car , cause she said she was comin back and he had to go home. …
that is bad tho i’d take it to the post office and rant my ass off
first and formost, im not bailing on mike(or any of my customers), im just as pissed as he is if not more. the time and effort it takes to make one of these is very tedious to say the least. i cut EVERY piece by hand and to shape to fit properly. and to see it not only crushed once…but twice now is truly sad and very unprofesional on these companies parts. it makes me rethink alot on how i construct , sell and ship these things now that this has happened(and this is the first house thats been crushed, ive mailed several others with no problem i am aware of) thank you everyone for the comments about my character, i am not backing down from anyone and leaving them to hang. mike my man, we will get this fixed to yours and mine satisfaction. if i have to carry it on a plane myself, so be it…
Let me just say this, I dont care if you go with Usps, Fedex or Ups, they all damage things. Thats why I was so amazed with everyone wanting to burn Fedex at the stake the last time you posted. If I have something that I dont want damaged, I pack it in a hard plastic container. I know people who have worked at all three places, and they say that they just stack things on top of each other. They say that they’re under such pressure and a quota to get things loaded for shipment, they dont have time to read boxes for the “fragile” sign.
thank you Mo, i never had any question about you coming threw for me. the thread was to inform the guys about the way that these idiots treat packages. everyone here knows that you are a stand up guy and the house was packed as well as it could have been. the problem is the companies transporting these packages, not Mo. he has been nothing short of helpful and professional threw this entire process. Mo has shipped many of these houses without a problem and i do not want this thread to stop anyone from ordering one of his awesome pieces. this is just a horrible situation and the only thing that is making it bearable is Mo. please do not think this thread was meant to do anything except bash the USPS and FedEx. Mo, you are the one of the good ones and i am happy that i ordered this house from you.
Are you seriously defending FexEx? whether it got damaged in transit was not the issue, it was the complete disregard for any responsibility they showed for my property that was “insured” was the problem. it was “insured” and they took the money for it then after they destroyed it, TWICE! then came up with the rule that they do not cover doll houses. do not take the money if you do not cover what is in the box. i really have no problem with USPS right now because they have not taken the insurance money and said that they do not cover what is in the box. it does not matter what is in the box, if it is insured, it is insured. right?
if it is packed in tissue paper it does not matter, it is insured, so cover it. the coverage was paid for, so cover it. FUCK FedEx!! i will never use them again and i hope that none of you do either.
Mike I’m going to start calling you Job due to your immense patience with shipping companies So sorry to see this happen AGAIN, it made me seriously question going through with my Myers House order in a few months, but this…
…set my mind at ease completely. I’m so sorry for the both of you having to put up with this hassle. Here’s to hoping the 3rd time’s a charm
No, I didnt say I was defending fedex. I just said that all three companies damage things, and since I have gone through the same thing you have, Ive made it a point to ship in hard plastic. By the way, you said nothing about them not covering the insurance in your first post, so I had no idea.
Mike, Youre fine man. I know exactly what youre going through. I ordered some window blinds, and they were shipped through fedex. It took 3 returns before I got my blinds un-damaged. I know youre pissed, and rightfully so. By the way, I wouldnt piss the guy off, who I won the mask from.
Isn’t this kinda costing you both a small fortune shipping this big package back and forth?? Can’t imagine you can ship that for less than 20 bucks if it stops there.
I had the same thing happened to me With an Rare Henry Alvarez Piece!!!
I send it to Kelly Mann… it cost me 300.00 To get it Restore!! luckily it was Insured…
costs me 30 for the house and 10 for the base. its not a regular size box, there is a ballon charge automaticaly cause of its size
not so sure on that, could be the case though as i dont work at the p.o to confirm this info. ive had several of these go out with no damage at all(to my knowledge). looks to me like it was stacked under somthing. if they treat packages around mikes way(or any other parts of the U.S for that matter) like they treat some of mine, i can saftly assume the carrier or some random handler is to blame. ive watched my delivery man throw packages on my pourch before he even made it to the steps. same with fed-ex, although he actualy walked up the steps, he dropped it like it was a 50lb bag of onions straight down…i instantly heard a nice shattering sound.
damn, this makes me sick. Especially that they accepted the money for insurance, then didnt cover it. That is bullshit. If i were you ship it UPS. Take it to a UPS store, pay them to pack it, and insure the hell out of it. ive had a couple of things broken with UPS, but they always pay up when its damaged.
