What’s up with expensive conversions getting spray painted hair? Are you guys paying $100 or more for these happy with spray painted hair? Just curious?
I wouldn’t know personally, and someone correct me if I’m mistaken, but I assume it has something to do with authenticity. I do know that you can get spray paint at Wal-Mart for about 96 cents.
You get what you pay for. My JC conversion is so badass words can’t describe it accuratley. A can of spray paint in an artists hands is much more. Can anyone graffiti with a 96 cent can of spray paint? I think not.
You have the option for what hair you want to use and what way it is used. Spray painted hair is for sheer accuracy as that is how the original mask hair was done. The hair itself really is not what you are paying for, but rather the paintjob, eyecuts, weathering etc. If you ever get a chance to hold one of these conversions you will be overwhelmed with the sheer awesomeness.

I’ve only sprayed the hair on one of the masksI’ve ever owned. I was terrified when I did it because I was so scared I was going to get spray on the mask. Needless to say that I wouldn’t do it again and would much rather just pay one of the very experienced artists here on this site to do it for me. That 96 cent can of spray paint can really mess up your mask if you don’t know what you’re doing with it…
True…But i think it’s being sprayed by an airbrush?

It all depends on the look that your going for.
I’ve sprayed alot of my masks (The right way) and they came out looking waaaaaaay better.
This is why I asked Hallows spray my conversions, I love the way he matted and streaked them, very H-1ish…
Also, You have to do it right. I used a certain paint from Michaels, not a cheap krylon can from Walmart. It wasn’t .96.
You also have to tape off, stand back, and do it in layers…
If you do it right, the results as totally sick…
