I’m searching for the best H1 mask and I know you guys all have an idea of which are the best. I’ve owned a Nemesis and an H78 and am considering getting another one (had to sell it). What else are considered the best? Any suggestions (with links) would be great!

I think a GOOD H78 is all you need, I would go with getting another one of those, there is nothing like a well converted H78.

I’d say the DPS '99 Shatner is the best for both H1 and H2 when its converted right.

A properly converted H78 is the absolute best in my eyes. 
This copy was converted by AHG, I believe.

Aren’t there different versions of the H78 (“delux”, different hair, ect.)? And what exactly do you get added/converted from the H78 (and who does the converting)?
A good fear/ 10/31 from cgp or crypt co. studios, this is my next mask that im getting, its the 10/31 (fear)

I think for an “affordable” H1, it would have to be an H78 OR 99 Shatner. Here’s an H78 that I finished a few days ago and they really capture that “screen look”…

I really like h4 cover masks.
Well since you are asking wich h1 to have then don’t go with this because
- The left eyebrow is way wrong
- The left eyecut is off
- The tip of the nose is wrong
- The nostrils are way off
- The left ear is a mile off
- The lips are off
- The chin is wrong
- The left cheek is off
These h78 mask that have been converted look good at first glance but lack accuracy by a bunch when you really look at them. I have to disagree with you when you say that these H78 masks lack accuracy. Name me one other mask that can be placed side by side by the hero and have every part of the mask not be “off” like you claim. A psycho sure wont get the job done, a maniac def wont, neither will the almighty KH. Point is, no mask out there is going to be 100% accurate to the hero.
I dnt think the OP asked which mask is 100% accurate to the hero, he just wanted to know peoples favorite H1 mask out there. It seems to me your post was more of crticism towards the h78 than anything, which is fine because everyone is entitled to an oppinion. And not everybody can aquire a mask like michaelantern. The 2 pics posted it looks pretty damn close to me. There are things i dont like about every mask and things i do like about them…no matter what you are never going to get “the perfect” h1 mask unless you turn back time and get the hero mask. And thats my 2 cents.
so please tell us amy or post a pic of the mask that is the best and is still available for purchase.

Im sorry, did you just say DONT go with a H78? I beg to differ, you arent gonna find anything more accurate to a 75 Kirk. Im not so sure thats even an opinion, Ive yet to see so many features match on any mask.

I love the h4 cover mask. Im sure if you put it side by side, you can be nit picky and talk about how the features are way off but this mask is pretty close to the hero in my eyes and imo one of the better NAG masks out there that is still available. But my vote still goes to a well converted H78 or a 4 stamp nmm78 (i know its not longer in production). Lets not forget about a NAG Nightmare done up by AHG or JC. So many great masks out there guys.
Same arguments can me made about the cover masks, which one is the most accurate…but at the end of the day i prefer the NAG Cover mask over any other cover mask as the most accurate one to the cover art. To the OP, best thing is to look in the gallery and decide for yourself, plenty of pictures have been posted. Lots of great masks out there that are still available such as h78, nag nightmare, cover mask…and the ones out of production such as nightowl 2005 psycho, nmm78, almighty KH, and lots of others.
Well put. The H78 is VERY close. There are many comparison pics to prove this as well. The only thing I can do without when it comes to the H78 is the size of the head. It’s much too large, but I can live with that! 
Matthew Mayhem did these comparison shots of my NAG/AHG H78 #3 when he had it. It looks pretty damn close to me. I mean grant it, there are differences, yes, but it’s really just about as good as it comes in my humble opinion.
that is one thing i didnt like about the h78, the big head but like you said I can live with that. Your copy is pretty damn accurate and I hope J Gobears04, calebcroft, and ceasar also post there copies in this thread because those are some pretty damn accurate H78’s in my eyes.
