got these in the mail a few days ago
Those are bad ass bro. Love the covers. Sorry for sounding totally dumb but what’s a digibook? I thought those are what you download on Kindles ROFL
Those are real cool! They look good on those stands too. Thanks for posting. …ANDY
These look awesome bro!
thanks, yea they are awesome…havent checked out the pic quality on 4, 5 or 6 yet but H3 looks fantastic though, actually IMHO this release of H3 looks better than the shout/scream factory release from last year!
http://shop.dtm.at/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=halloween&x=0&y=0 here’s where u can get them but be warned…THEY’RE NOT CHEAP.
I grabbed 4, 5, and 6 myself, they arrived on the 29th of December, the packaging is great and they have some cool behind the scenes, promo scene, and cut scene pics in there (including a nice one of a stabbed Jamie from the 6 p-cut).
As far as quality goes 6 uses the same Studio Canal master that the Spanish and French disks do, but it doesn’t look quite as good as the French disk (the best version of 6 yet), it has 5.1HD English audio and 2.0HD and 5.1HD German audio (all DTS HD-MA).
5 is of a very nice quality, it’s quite similer to the Anchor Bay version , but brighter, so while they are of pretty equal video quality and use the same Divimax master, they do end up looking different (the brightness is more along the lines of the Divimax dvd and tin box/special edition dvd). It has both the 5.1 HD and the 2.0 HD (not on the Anchor Bay disk) English audio tracks, both in DTS HD-MA.
4 looks significantly better than the Anchor Bay version. Again it uses the Divimax master, but the brightness levels are pretty much perfect, the reds aren’t so unnaturally saturated, the detail, color, and especially contrast and three dimensional look are significantly better and it looks very filmic. Aside from the color changes made in the divimax release this is as close as we’ve gotten to seeing what the film looked like theatrically. I suggest to anyone that can afford it to grab this blu-ray over the Anchor Bay version as it blows it away. Picture comparisons can’t do the difference justice, there are even details that the AB blu-ray scrubbed out that are present here. The NSM blu-ray also includes the 5.1 audio track as well as the 2.0 audio track (again not on the AB release) both in DTS HD-MA, as well as including all three commentary traks (the AB release ditched the Alan B. McElroy/Anthony Masi commentary track).
Many greetings from Austria and Germany. Your review was shared, nice to see, that you like it!
I’m glad to find this community, great people, great information!
Greetings

Really cool man, Awesome scores!
Four nice pickups there! Anyone know if these can be played on a region 1 blu-ray player? Or do you need a region-free player?? I have a region-free dvd player, but just a region 1 blu-ray player…just curious.
Just want to let you all know, that “Halloween H20”
will release in that form too. Same Digi book like H3 - H6
but pleace notice: IT’S WITHOUT A SOUNDTRACK CD!!
Anyway a very nice addition for every collection.
