This is my mask. I own the Ghost’78 in those photos. Those are the photos Chris took and sent to me when it was completed. Best experience i have ever had with an indi artist, we stayed in touch. Those photos arent even flattering. when it gets that stretch, GODAMN it comes to life! I made a short video to showcase the exact mask in those photos. You can see it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnhgulff9qE&t=2s
Super props to all the guys giving feedback on the mask. That was a fun read and a nice surprise to find my mask on the thread! \m/
10x more than a Creep. If the Creep was cartoony, do you think everyone would steal my backlit Creep photo? That has to be the dumbest comment so far hahaha.
I don’t consider the Creep cartoony at all, but some people do, that’s why I asked, honestly I don’t consider the Ghost78 cartoony either, so the question was legit
Well all that aside, do we have any members here that own one of these masks? I personally believe it to be closer to an older NightOwl Killer than a spot-on 1978 sculpt. It still looks good to me just not screen-accurate with the over-emphasized forehead details
User Hogle666 owns one, he posted a video a page back in dark ligkt, I asked him if he could show us some worns in natural light but he has yet to reply
Checked it out. Profile doesn’t do it for me replica-wise, but the Castle stretch is awesome and it definitely has a menacing look to it. Not a bad sculpt at all I’d just put it in the category as the NO Slasher and Killer
I will take a few pictures in natural light of that mask being worn. That mask is a little big on me, I had to open my mouth a little bit to get that stretch you see in my video that a photo was posted of. I’ll take a few photos in the light for you guys. When I made that video and cut it together I thought, well fuck I need some daylight shots of this bad boy. So the next day I sat it out on the pole and grabbed a few shots to mix in. Didnt even think about wearing it outside. I’ll get you dudes a few daylight photos of me wearing it.
Is it a flawless replica? No. No mask is. Even if we had a replica or THEE screen used mask, we would all still pick it apart. But it is a beautiful piece, no doubt. It takes the basic H4 cover shape, H1 stretch, and H2 stretch all very well and also looks great in free hang on a pole. That in itself is a nice score! Cant please everyone but every Myers mask has a place in all of our hearts.
