Alright guys.I flirted with selling this mask for a long time.I would list it in the classifieds, pull it…get an offer, turn it down.I thought that the last time I listed this mask this past weekend and didn’t get a bite that I would keep the mask forever.I have something else that may happen, which I now desperately hope does, and I had to part with something in order to make it happen.I am at a stage of my mask-collecting rampage where I need to sacrifice to get something I am interested in.It hurts every time you box up a mask and send it out and this one will ALWAYS sting…always.
I got this Mint 75/JC from Nightmare not long ago.It was his prized mask and I can see why.I truly believe that along with 5150’s Mint, this one is the best around, hands down.
When I got the offer from ml0837,I was torn,as always.Matt was a very serious person and 100% professional in nature.I knew that this was it…I had the opportunity that I wanted, yet rooted against.Isn’t that sick?To actually root against a sale? All of you serious collectors out there know what it is like to part with a mask.I hate it every time. It’s like giving a way a bit of passion.
With that said,Matt was so great to deal with and I am happy that the mask will go to a great, deserving person. Here’s to you buddy…Congrats on a true gem.
To my sweet Mint 75,sorry to see you go…I will always partially regret this…
I always liked this mask, had times not been a little tough right now I would have jumped on it myself!
I know how you feel about the pain of “losing one to gain one”. At some point or the other most of us who take collecting to the next level usually end up doing this and it is always PAINFUL!!
Thank you Randy for a superb copy of a tremendous mask. It will have a very good home here. I can’t wait to unpack that gem and have it inserted into the collection. It will be welcomed with open arms.
No worries, Randy… It sucked to have had to let my #9 Mint go…To a person not on here no less …As long as you don’t look at any old pics too much it wont be too bad… Ahh who am i kidden, i still get quivery chin from time to time. ((quiver quiver))
Damn Randy… It sucks seeing you like this bro. All you gotta do is look at what you still have and I think you will notice a big smile on your face. You have one of the best if not the best collection around here. But I too would have a hell of a time parting with my MINT 75 BLOOD TEARS. Hope what you are getting to replace that MInt will help heal the pain a bit. Take it easy buddy , Mike
That’s indeed one of the best converted mints for sure.
I’m sure your future scorage will definetly be in the same league or even greater.
You collection just gets better and better
Nice pics Randy!
