Hey everyone! I just rewatched Halloween 4 two nights ago and I enjoyed it a lot more, but I didn’t know if there was a replica of the mask below. I have heard that was a different mask than the rest of the movie and I wasn’t sure if there was a replica that’s closer to that one than the main H4 mask.
Ahh thank you, I’m heavily considering a cgp uncle v2 or getting a Kirk done up like this. I didn’t really hate the mask from h4 this time I watched it compared to the last time, guess it’s starting to grow on me.
Really? That’s so cool! I used to hate the h4 but I like it now, a couple more watches and I’ll be in love I’m sure lol. Best of luck on your sculpt man!
Yeah! It’s over in the projects and announcements forum now. I’ve always liked it because it was a favorite growing up. I don’t really dislike any of the Myers masks to be honest.
Man idk why but taking a look at the upcoming projects section it’s really cool, I never really looked at that forum before. And nice job so far on the h4 sculpt! Looks pretty good, and have you seen that revenge of the fifth? That thing is beautiful!
I think if Shanks put the collar up on the coveralls as opposed to having the neckline on top of the collar…the overall look would have been much better
supposedly he wore the neck out and the mask loose because Donald Pleasance broke his nose filming the 2x4/Chains scene. So the mask was loose so it wouldn’t press against his busted face.
But yeah the loose mask and floppy neck, the receding ‘all forehead’ hairline and the long hair in back all sort of come together to have a weird look.
That’s actually a myth! . The mask was skin tight and Moustapha Akkad said it should look more like a mask, so they glued makeup sponges in the neck making it look “loose”. The nose appliance was added because the director stated that the mask looked too feminine. These statements both come from Don himself .
I always heard that’s why the mask was looser in some scenes, so it didn’t press against his face.
The nose extension was just an extension, the ‘real’ nose was still underneath it. It’s not like they cut the old nose out to make extra room and put a new nose on it. From the inside of the mask the mask was still the same, extension or not.
Yeah, Donald breaking Don’s nose isn’t the part I was saying was myth, that’s pretty well documented. I was just saying it’s myth that that is why it looks bigger/has the appliance. I asked Don myself on the phone, and if anyone knows why the mask looked bigger it’d be him [emoji3]
