H6 Mask Overhaul

Hello guys last year I started to repaint my Tots H6 mask and just didn’t continued. I just started again and wanted to “rehair” the mask too. But I don’t know where to find fitting hair here in Germany so I worked with what TOTS gave me.

First I am not really sure about the hairline. On some masks it is curved and on some “straight” if you look from the front. I don’t know what is right. I wanted to ask YOU if the hairline is good or not (not glued yet) and then I would like to know what you think about the whole mask overhaul! It is my first ever repaint. Yeah I don’t know why they are flipped.

Well you’ve got a good solid base coat so far, I myself would pull that hairline forward some it’s just a little too far back. Now just come in with some medium to light grays and slowly layer up and weather in the feature points on the mask such as the cheeks, forehead, lips etc.

Here is my overhauled TOTs H6 that I recently weathered myself. When I first recieved it, it just had a white base coat and a camel rehair. I wanted it’s features to be more strong and I also wanted it to have more of a dingy look like the screen used H6.

Thank you, I will post some pictures later. Great mask btw! Well this is my first ever repaint, I am not that good, like I dont know how to get that smooth black around the eyes or the black contour on the cheeks. It just does not look smooth when I try it.

I am not done painting yet. But I am happy about what it looks like frome the side, but from the front it just does not look like a H6 mask to me (or am I wrong?) the hairline is so weird from the front or what do you think?

The mask doesn’t look bad at all from any angle but yes that hair line is too far back. It’s looking like Michael is having a lot more movies than dreams. Hahaha

No, rewatch the movie. That’s exactly how the hairline is in the film.

I’ve seen that movie more times than I care to mention, there is several mask worn throughout the movie all with slightly different variations. Yes the hair is pushed farther back away from the ears and where side burns would be but it’s not that far back at the top above the forehead.

Should I leave the hairline like this? It is just a bit hard to work with the hair that already was on the mask

Does somebody know what the best way is to lighten the hair a bit? I will try to work with this hair but it is too dark.

The hair looks fine I think man, that’s about what color it was in the movie.

The hairline looks fine and you did a good job. You can dye the hair to get a lighter color but I think it looks solid as is and the paint looks great

Thank you guys! Here I asked because in the movie it is not that dark, I know there is light shining on it but the hair looks more red-brown or orange-brown

PS: Happy Halloween! In Germany we are already there
