Loved how he was bashing that guys body against the stall door. Michael is up too his tricks for sure. Sweet. I have a real strong feeling that the mask being put on from the car was Nick.
I couldn’t agree more his walk and movements look too be down pat. I swear. He may very well be the best Myers since Nick.
Looks good but I hate, hate, hate the bathroom bloody teeth scene. That just screams Rob zombie crap to me. I mean can you really imagine Michael from 1978 Halloween really tearing Bob or Linda’s teeth out???
I just can’t get in to this version and I am not happy at all with them changing him not being her brother. If this would of took place after part 2 and him being her brother then I would be completely in to it.
I thought I was the only one I am sitting at work (and haven’t done any actual work for about an hour now) and I am tearing up watching this! This is something casual fans or our significant others will never understand…this is my freaking childhood flashing before my eyes!
Well I’m assuming a lot here, but it looked like he pulverized the the man’s head into a wall, the same dude that showed him the mask. I believe they were an English film crew and we know how bad their teeth are! Lol I’ve seen teeth come flying out playing hockey so it’s not a far stretch for me.
So glad I was a kid seeing the original. This makes so much more sense to me than what came after, albeit I liked H2. The brother thing and all that never spoke to me. I understand that it may for the younger generation but for me this is the pinnacle I’ve been waiting for since I was kid.
I think the reason why I got emotional over the trailer is because…finally…it appears as though someone (i.e. DGG, Blumhouse, etc) are taking the original movie seriously. They seem to get it. Whatever “it” means…they seem to understand why this movie had such an impact on so many fans. The movies that came out after H2, while they are fun to watch, they turned into parody’s of themselves and completely lost the feel of the original. IDK, it’s still too early to tell, but this trailer is giving me hope.
This trailer really has re-captured the atmosphere of the originals. Not just the fear of the shape itself but the fear generated through shadows and light locations that hit you on a primal level.
No film has ever made me this excited ever. This may sound weird, but this feels like the first time we are seeing the actual MM since part 2. I’ve always felt that no one got the character right after Castle and Warlock.
Also, do you think that some of these scenes might not make it into the film, or they might appear as alternate takes of the same scenes? That has been a popular device for advertising reasons just to build hype. Either way, I’m amazed at how well everything looks. This is easily the best looking since the original.
I think the fans have every right to be emotional for the very reasons you stated and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve felt the same way and never could really watch anything after H2 as far as Myers goes. (I did like H3 in its on right since they tried to stick to the plan of different Halloween stories) I gave H20 a chance so I went to the theater and couldn’t express my disappointment without going full Myers myself. Frankly it made me embaresssd to be a HalloweeN fan because I’d always have to explain I only liked the first two. I’m so glad these guys had the courage to scrape everything after H1(even though I like H2) because it gives fans like me another path.
Holy f***** s***… amazing guys. This trailer is one of the best horror movie trailers ever. The mental hospital scene with the checkered floor was amazing and eerie. I cannot wait, I love the modern vibe.
I doubt they will have that in there.
