Pretty psyched. McBride may not be a horror guy but he’s definitely talented and I’m sure his involvement will be a good thing. Either way if it’s good great if it sucks oh well only have to watch it once.

Trick or treat studios said they already have the rights to the mask whenever it’s released. Hopefully it’s like a cinema secrets thing.
Kinda neat as well is that with a 2018 release, it’ll be the 40th anniversary of the original
I hope they really focus on continuity if they’re going to follow the first 2.
Stuff like the myers house, the wounds and damage to the mask. If they toss in a lot of little touches and throwbacks it could really work to the film’s benefit. Good way to keep fans of the classics happy while giving a good chance to do a fresh take on things.
Danny being a fan could give us something awesome.
I imagine this will be like H20, where the first two films happened but we’ll see Myers years after
If it is a direct continuation after 2 and set in modern day he should be what 61 now??

Yeah, but then it’s like a Jason type scenario.
So it would be continuation of II and disregarding the later ones? My interest has only been I,II and oddly, an interest in III, but the later ones, I never cared for too much although I’ll watch them when they’re on.
They can at least start the film with him charred up, then have him stumble into a new mask as the film progresses. They’ve had him do it before in part 4, they could have him do it again I suppose, maybe they csn find a more creative way. That approach would also be cool. Curious to see how they do it regardless.
Hopefully they go with a Castle/Warlock built actor. The possibilities are endless really. If the passion is there we could have a Force Awakens kinda film with a lot of the same old with some twists.
The film would benefit from being set in the late 70’s or early 80’s imo. Otherwise it may be more like H20.
Carpenter must score…would be heartbreaking if not, with him being attached and all.
