I have very vivid dreams when i sleep. I dreamt about a Halloween 6 remake last night and since I have woke up, I have been working on a Raining Red V2 order and got to thinking about that H6 remake dream! Everyone knows by now that i did a sequel to H6 in 2008 titled: Halloween H30…Now, even though I make masks, I am still a film maker at heart. The creative juices started to flow with the idea of an H6 fan remake, and it’s something I would LOVE to do! I would also like to have Sandman78 on board helping me, and I’d like to make this a Michael-myers.net project.
I would produce/direct, but I’d love assist and collaboration from a writer here on the board. I’d love to take elements we all loved about H6 and combine it with what the movie should’ve been.
I’d start rolling cameras on it 2/1/2011, but for a movie this size we’d need a yr pre-production for it.
if you’d like in on the project, simply PM me! we’d shoot the film in prosumer HD with 35mm lense adapters to make it look like a real 35mm film. It would be cut on Final Cut Pro as well.
I’d also like to personally recruit Mr. Darren Jones for the musical score to Halloween 6.
At the end of production, I’d hold a contest for someone to win the mask used in the movie…
what do you say? can the people of the forum that wants in on shaping this project with me to say “I” ? LOL Hope to hear from you soon!!
I do not want to remake the H6 movie scene for scene and not even necessarily the same characters used in that film except maybe Tommy and Jamie. I’d like to try and clean up the mess H5 had and get it back to the original with tone and suspense. If you watched my H30 film, you remember the scene at the seance, then they go through the house looking for Steven, it was like a 7 minute build to whitfields death…i love stuff like that and would love to have it be like a cat and mouse type thing throughout the movie.
No kid, no “Thorn”, no runes, no cults, no b.s. That would be a good start!
I would like the idea of how after a few years since Michael has wreaked havoc on Haddonfield people are now moving on with their lives. They are feeling safe again and are forgetting (or at least trying to forget) the town’s tainted past.
The town has been told by the local authorities for years that Michael is dead. Only the sheriff knows the TRUTH concerning the events that occured after Michael’s escape from custody in 1989 and due to the fact Michael has never returned since, he’s convinced perhaps Michael really is dead.
Then (present day) October comes. As the month progresses so the reports from the townspeople.
David Brackett reports of a strange figure that has been lurking around his barn.
Sarah Wallace has reported of a stalker and a broken window in her basement that appears to have been a break in.
Then there is the call that Dr Samuel Loomis receives which brings him out of retirement and once again into the town of Haddonfield and the nightmare of Michael Myers.
definitley diggin it! I think the only MIB reference should be in the opening just to tie up the loose ends H5 left…if we get creative we can come up with something STRONG!!! maybe Sheriff Bracket captured him so he could torture and kill Michael himself after Annie’s death…hmmm theres an idea!
Thanks man, my intentions with the post above were to actually totally do away with the Man in Black figure. Focus on Michael being locked up at the end of H5 and escaping (noone knowing sure how he did it) and then the inevitable chase/pursuit. In the end the Sheriff (Ben Meeker) being in a situation where he thinks he MAY have killed Michael but never knows for sure then we fade to present day Haddonfield to start the new film/script.
**David Brackett will be Sheriff Bracket’s (Halloween II) son and Sarah Wallace, Lindsey Wallace’s daughter.
***The H5 “backstory” can work (ignoring the man in black part) because only the movie audience knows about the man in black. When Jamie and Meeker get there Michael is gone already. That way we are not ignoring the events of H5.
Chris, you know I’m on board for the score, buddy. I’m also an editor and sound editor (and camera guy, my full time jobs) so if you need any help on the editing end, on FCP, I can help out too. I’ll shoot you a PM.
Awesome idea!!
