I read it in one sitting and quite enjoyed it. While not great, it seems that it would have made the best Halloween film since part 4, for sure. I feel like this could have even went straight to video, could have been this series’ Curse of Chucky (i.e., a return to form, somewhat.)
I think the main things I had problem with have been mentioned (the writing on the wall I’m not thrilled about.) Also, I was a bit confused by the opening. It opens directly where Halloween 1 ends, right? With Michael regaining consciousness on the ground outside the Doyle’s? Where the heck are Laurie and Loomis? It was early in the morning, perhaps I misread something.
