Hey whats up guys…Well “He finally came home”…Ive been trying to get my old Warlock back for quite some time now and It finally happened…Thanks to my good friend Blackesteyes this is no longer a hobby burden for me…This is actually the 3rd warlock ive owned in my day and by far my favorite one…That is why ive been desperate to get it back…No matter what I still say the Warlock is still in the top 3 of the best H2 mask out there…The only thing that beats a good Warlock IMO is the KH or Nighmare converted in a proper fashion…So im very excited to have this mask back in my collection and back its old home when it left me…I also recived a pretty sweet nightmare from my good friend Scott(QOTS)…Scott is always so great to work with it and its always a pleasure dealing with him…
I also just bought myself a new camera so my pics will only get better from here guys…I know in the past couple months they havent been that great since the loss of my D40 …Well I just picked up a Nikon D90 and man this thing is insane with what it can do…Only I havent got around to getting to know it that well yet…Its much more complex than my D40 was and can do a whole more…I need more practice and experience with it…So I just snapped a few pics of some of my favorite mask and now you can really see the detail in them…I hope you guys enjoy and just wanted to share my excitement with you…If anyone owns one of these cameras and can lend me some tips on using it please feel free to send me a PM…Hell any of you camera gods that know photagraphy feel free to give me some tips…What im doing wrong, right or what I can do to get better results…Thanks for looking guys…Later
Nice masks and pics brother! I was eyeballin that D90, but man it’s out of my budget atm. I went ahead and got a D3000 since my wife wants to learn how to use one - good entry level DSLR. I have to take some fresh shots soon… I needed an upgrade after selling my old Pentax.
Awesome news Curtis. I know this has been eating at you for some time now. No doubt glad to have that kick-ass WARLOCK back home
Nice shots of your other goodies too! Looking forward to seeing some more great pics from you!
Thanks for the comments guys…Yeah Chad I feel ya bro…Ive been wanting the D90 for a while now…Everytime I got around to getting one something came up and ZI couldnt get it…But no issues this time and I finally snagged the sucker…I just have to learn to use the thing now…When I had my D40 I got to know that one like the back of my hand but the D90 is so much more complicated…Its got a ton more options to play with…I definately have to learn the camera and some photagraphy tips to use this one…Thanks again guys and shall see you around the board…Later fellas
Man i’m feeling the blues… I’m glad it made it there safely Curtis. It’s a good feeling getting a good mask back thats been missed. … Take care and keep it
Man,that is a Warlock and a half bro!!Absolutely Congrats on getting him back.I know the feeling,I have gotten back a mask I parted with in the past and it is like reuniting with a loved one.It makes you appreciate the mask that much more.Great pics of all the masks.Hey,did you ever get your package from the Foreign Shipping Center or whatever it is,in Jersey City?I hope so brother.-Randy
Thanks for all the great remarks fella’s…Its always appreciated…Randy my man, no luck with the package bro and aabsolutely no sign of it…The post office cant really tell me anything either…The last I spoke to them they gave me some bullshit excuse…They said the package could of been opened somehow or damaged…When that happens they send it to atlanta georgia to be repackaged…Thats just one possibility…They also said the label could of been destoryed somehow and in that case it would be sent bacl to the seller and that hasnt happened either…They even said they could of made a mistakle and delivered it to the wrong address…I read about this place on line…Apparently they loose packages all the time…If you google that place you get nothing but bad stories about it…Basically I had to contact my seller…Since he is the shipper he has to file a search request and if nothing comes of it then he has to file a claim after 10 days of filing the search request…Its a big pain in the ass…Basically they lost the damn thing…Hopefully it all gets worked out…I cant take another loosing out situation…I went through enough of that last year as you all know…So hopefully its found…Thanks again guys for all the kind remarks…Let me learn this camera a bit more and they will end up better…Later fella’s
As for the camera, a D90 is an excellent choice man!! It has dials on the front and back of the camera (the thing I dislike the most about a D40/50/60 since these don’t have it) and it has an internal focus motor. Best tip is not to use the Automatic and Programmed automatic settings anymore. A great book is “Understanding Exposure” from Bryan Peterson. It explains into detail how to properly expose under all situations and what shutter speed, aperture and ISO have to do with that. Composition (Rule of thirds etc.) is something you need to learn over time.
I like this camera stuff man. I started with a D70 in 2004 and now I have a D2X, D3 and D3s with TOO many fast glass… .
