Help with jason hocks-

I’ve heard lots of good things about Lars. He has a very good reputation, but I do not own any of his masks.
The crash part VI mask you have listed there, doesn’t look very realistic to the film and I’ve seen other pictures of crashes part VI’s that don’t look like a turtle shell. As you can see on the edges, it’s almost like they curl outward, which certainly isn’t accurate to the film. Not sure what’s going on there. My part VI by Tony Jarvis, who does a very good job as well and I’m pretty happy with it. I also have a part VII that looks pretty awesome by Joshua Dedman who is a great dude and artist.
My crash part IV shower scene blows everything else I’ve ever seen away anyway. It looks perfectly accurate and it’s finished beautifully. It is not fibreglass though, but it is definitely a very thick plastic hock, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Here are a few shots of the IV and VI. I have a few short videos that show off more detail, but I can’t seem to post videos here. I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything Crash does he’s really incredible at it.

Thanks for the info man, much appreciated. I think fibreglassmasks and LARS10 are where I’m heading at the moment. Fantastic collection by the way…thats probably the best jason set up I’ve ever seen.

Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah, fibreglass mask would be cool and I’ve heard nothing but good things about Lars so I’m sure it’ll look perfect.

I’m not sure where it began and I have admittedly been a victim of it in the past, but somehow, some way, most people have come to develop this idea that the JTM mask was ultra-bloated and extremely wide with small eye holes that had an entire landing strip of space between them, but that is not what the screen used mask actually looks like. It’s almost as if the mask on the billboard in the movie has seeped into people’s conception of the mask itself.

What mask was it you purchased that suffered from those discrepancies?

I must not have articulated that well. I’ve never bought a Jason Takes Manhattan mask. By being “a victim of it in the past”, I meant that I used to think of the mask as looking that way.
