How To Age Michael Myers Coveralls?

I’ll be Michael Myers again this year for Halloween, as we always dress up and scare the kids in our front yard in their attempts to snatch something from our candy bowl (favorite time of year by the way… )

This year, I’ve decided to go all out and really try to make a good costume. I bought these pair of coveralls (the Blue version) from Dickies.com: http://www.dickies.c…izes-WV4870.jsp

My goal is age them myself and give it a look more of something like this:

What is a good way to go about this? I like the idea of using fake blood, paint and dye but I DON"T want to go the way of using dirt and filth. Mainly because I have to wear the thing I don’t want to feel nasty taking it off and on. Also, being that these will be brand new, I’ll need to distress and wear the fabric. Is there an easier way to do this without having to do it by hand using a wire brush?

It’ll be tough to pull off. The coveralls that you posted a picture of are screen used and derived from dying and aging a pair of khaki carhart coveralls. The only advice you’ll find here is how to turn the khaki carharts into what your hoping to achieve. Since your only looking to spook kids and not achieve screen accuracy then you might save yourself the effort and just stick with making what you got look dirty and bloody. Happy Halloween.

Actually, for some reason a mod has moved this thread to the wrong forum. I originally posted it in the General section. It doesn’t really belong here as I was never really trying to get the Rob Zombie look. I was just using that picture to illustrate the type of aging I was hoping to accomplish on a navy blue pair of cover alls.

I settled on a can of red spray paint from the hardware store that seems to be just the right shade that should look good sprayed on dark cover alls.

Can you make me 1 like in the picture
