A Michael Lerner, the cinematography, and overall atmosphere were pretty good. As well as the scene of Tommy trying to break down the door to save Kara, while Michael closes in on them. But as you know, the script isn’t the greatest. How would you improve it?
The script is great for the most part. The problem is that half of it was either rewritten or just not shot.
Despite with a lot of people say about this film, I’m not afraid to say it, I love Halloween 6 The Curse of Michael Myers; I’ve watched it over and over repeatedly and the kill scenes are brutal, the mask gets creepier every time I look at, and storyline is different which makes it cool. Sure, it could’ve used some tweaking, but that’s any slasher/horror movie! H6 is by far underrated and a great watch especially to because George P Wilbur just manhandles his victims as MM, he’s just awesome at the role!
I agree, Dan Farrans script, even in it’s “final” state were far better than the final product of either cut. I’d like something along the lines of what was planned from there on, maybe some fixes, but Farrands scripts were def on the right track until everyone put their hands on it. Sometimes for the best, but 95% of the time for the worst.
And yet, still got a soft spot for the Producer’s Cut mainly due to the wonderful cinematography, atmosphere, the mask and Alan Howarth’s score. I’d have those kept in the film.
