There is a script floating around online for RZ Halloween III.
Man his movies get so much hate lol I enjoy them a lot more than some of the other sequels that came out. Nothing wrong with putting a different spin on the same story. Did we just expect a dublicate remake and sequel of the originals?
I know right. I’m not a big fan of H2, but I can appreciate its different take. And honestly, Halloween remake is one of the only great remakes along with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre back in 2003.
With the way 2 ended I half expected to see part 3 with Laurie behind the mask. She was definitely all aboard the crazy train
I’d make the ending of H2 one of Laurie’s crazed hallucinations. Laurie wakes up in a mental institute after trying to kill Danielle Harris, but she has a psychic connection to Michael, which Loomis is trying to exploit for his next book on psychology and the Myers family. Michael, after losing his half-torn mask in the fight at the strip club, decides to slim down to just the coveralls and a new, clean mask. Terror ensues, ending is ambiguous, good old fashioned Halloween style.
Just because people don’t want to see another RZ Halloween film doesn’t necessarily mean they are hating on Rob. One of my all time favorite movies, not just Horror movies, is The Devil’s Rejects. In my opinion, regardless of whether you like the content of the story, that movie was a fantastically well made movie
Agreed, I love The Devil’s Rejects so much. Despite not caring for his Halloween films I keep watching and hoping he’ll reach that height again. Here’s hoping the third in the sequel is going to do it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8134742/
If I had to pitch a sequel to RZH2… hmm,
Maybe Laurie, still under her blood family’s influence falls catatonic in the mental institution (in an obvious parallel to Michael’s formative years). Maybe we get a glimpse of what’s going in her head. Maybe the “spirit” of Michael Myers and the mother is possessing her. compelling her to escape, making her way to where Michael is held/buried. Michael Myers mysteriously makes his appearance, leaving behind a bloody trail of murders. Turns out Laurie took over the mantle of the mask as a twist ending until she finds the body.
I dunno, a bit H4 meets RZH2 I guess. Spitballing.
