I thought I'd never say this...

But count me in as a RZ H2 fan!, I know theres probably a few members here that are going to be shocked because I was always complaining how I hated h2 and never will like it, Like when I went to go see H2 in the theater, I was expecting to see the Michael Myers, the one we all know, the silent shape, I went to Hastings bought it, I’d decided to give it a second try and I watched commentary with Rz and couldn’t stop watching it! It was if I went into a hole nother world a darker world, and I decided that I love the human Michael I love the grunt, 4 months ago it wasnt that way, but know it is,the only thing I dont like about this movie is michael yelling die and the lack of Halloween theme music, It has grown on me and I love it! Scout is aweome, Tyler is amazing, and I thought I express my feeling on it to you guys, and there is nothing wrong with liking both!! the silent shape Michael Myers and Rz’s vision of Michael Myers, I can now say that I love Rob Zombies h2, thanks for taking your time to read this you guys,  :drinkers: :drinkers: :drinkers: :drinkers:

I agree, Definitely helps listening to his commentary too. I love this version of the mythos. Its fleshed out moreso than the old ones. But I love the old ones too. Nothing wrong with liking em all.

I liked it too. I love the way Hobo Myers looks and I thought Lauries evolution into a psycho was realistic. Myers becoming a Hobo and eating dog & growing a beard was also realistic. I liked it. If you watch it with an open mind and realize it’s a Rob Zombie Halloween, you’ll appreciate it more.

I’m with you on that

I agree. Didn’t like it at ALL at first but enjoyed it a lot more after watching it again and the commentary

H2 is a great film. I have total faith in Rob, he hasn’t disappointed me yet.

as much as i would love another Halloween by Rob and this universe, the story is done. Especially the directors cut, which is the definitive cut, they really screwed up by not releasing that cut into theaters, it actually had a story and a purpose. I wish they would have done these how Rob planned, part 1 ALL Young Michael/Asylum Michael, part 2 Haddonfield, part 3 then could have been what we have as part 2 now. I think this way would have made the parts similar to the original much more different if rob had time to work on it and stretch out michaels initial return to haddonfield. But i dont want anyone touching his story, i fear too much they would ruin the character of Laurie.

not watched it yet, i’m in the uk, but i liked rz h1!

i liked h2 more than the first rz halloween. Tylers performance as michael myers is raw and brutal! The best kill for me was when he was slamming the stripper’s head against the mirror on the wall over and over again lol!  :smiling_imp:

My favorite kill was the nurse. That was freaking brutal as hell!!

How bout that dude gettin curb-stompted?

no offence to you myers 96, but stories like this popping up months after its release just shows me how closed minded alot of people were and still are about the film. alot of people just wanted to hate it so they did.
as far as you going into the theatre to see RZ H2 and expecting to see the old “silent shape” of a Myers, you should have know WAY better judging by Robs first Halloween.
im glad you gave the film a fair chance and took it for what it is, but at the same time it lets me know that this film is hated so much for no good reason, only because people had their mind made up before they ever seen it. thats a very closed minded approach to anything.
that being said rz H2 is for sure my 4th favorite in the series. im sure alot more people would like it if they could just quit thinking 1978 1978 1978 1978 1978 the whole time their trying to watch it.

Well like I said, it was my fault because,I totally agree with you about people keep on thinking of 1978 and arnet open minded, like i said i was expecting to see the Michael we all know and that was my fault and by the way I was closed minded but we all deserve a second chance soooo I really dont get what you mean by saying nooffence Because we all deserve a second chance, AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT I LOVE RZ H2!!! FOREVER!!!,

James

FUCKING AWESOME

I understand what rz was going for and I liked certain parts but as a whole the film for me was a let down. This goes for both the tc and dc. I’m very open minded to new things but personally I’m just not feeling it.

Hey, my first post!

I’m glad I waited until I could see the director’s cut of H2, because based on what I’ve heard, it’s the version I was more likely to enjoy. I rented it a few weeks ago and was simply absorbed. Now, I’ve seen the original Halloween films, but I’m not a superfan, so a remake wasn’t spit in my Holy Grail or anything (we’ll see how I feel when NMOES 2010 comes out…), so perhaps I’m more predisposed to be forgiving than some purists. But frankly, I respect RZ’s balls. He didn’t just make another cookie-cutter slasher film. He decided that he was playing in this universe and by god he was gonna make it his own. I repect that more than I can say. And fortunately, my personal aesthetic and RZ’s happen to have a lot in common. I’ve seen this movie only once, and it won’t let go of me. It’s set up shop in my subconscious, I guess.

And if I ever do a costume, hobo Myers all the way baby.
