I’m glad to be back and see the amazing masks and posts from people I havent heard from in a long time. I love this place, and this hobby!

Amen brother! Couldnt have worded or said it much better than that! 100% feel the same way, this is something i will NEVER give up on. I plan to celebrate and embrace Halloween both the Film and day for the rest of my life. Im going to even try my hardest when i settle down to get myself hitched on Halloween! Great post!

Good Thread,
This thread really caught my attention Mike!

Jimmy, your a dear friend of mine but I’m sorry dude, I have to disagree with you. I don’t think it has anything to with “growing up” syndrome. I think that is a selfish and conceded thought. I think sometimes people just want to move on for whatever reason and if we are the “family” that so many say we are, then we should support them in their decisions instead of calling it some kind of “syndrome”. I’m not saying you don’t Jimmy, I’m just saying why label them with a “Syndrome”? I see that you are very supportive of people who want to move on and that is really cool, but saying that they have a growing up syndrome is saying that there is something wrong with them and there isn’t. They simply just don’t share the same enthusiasm as you do and that’s not wrong. This is a great hobby no doubt about it, I love it just as much as you and the next guy, but sometimes life, like family, careers or whatever prevent us from being a “hard core” dedicated fan that can attribute lot’s of spare time to the the hobby.

And as as far as you "hacknslash21, I would think twice before you start making judgments on people stating that they think they are “above you” whether your joking or not. Like I said to Jimmy, I have many very, very good friends on this site and because of this site but that fact of the matter is, Priorities take priority. We all have things that are priorities in life. We have Rent, mortgages, kids, careers, divorces, bills, family drama…whatever and to label a person to have a “syndrome” or “they think they are above us” because they feel that this is not there priority right now is wrong IMO. As “rampage78” said, a lot of people just fizzle away which is fine if that works for them. But when someone states they are ready to move on…who are we to put labels on them? Like I stated above, if you seriously believe that we are the family that we all say we are, you wouldn’t make such statements as these. You would welcome people home when they were ready to come home.
Nick

WOW Nick… Now this is a well thought out post bro. Kudos my friend. Mike. And Mike… your a barrel of monkeys my brotha

Just kidding brother. I understand your side and you make some
KILLLLLler points, I was just stating according to the original post
made my Mr. StinkySmellyclown  My argument is the way
these people are posting these things, there tone Is just
sounding like, they are persuading us fellow members that are
here enjoying the hobby, to do the same, get up and move on,
& I just don’t agree with that.

Great Post Dick Vernon

    You mess with the bull, you get the horns

HOLY SHIT IT’S CLARENCE BEEKS

I’m certainly not “above” anyone…hard to be above it when I’m down in it. (“So why? What does it matter now…” For those who get the reference  )

I’m already “grown up” (or a “kid with bigger/more expensive toys” as they say,) married with children (a few of you know my specifics,) & I may have decided to minimize my posting for some of the reasons Brother Mike-Ballistc expressed in another thread. But I will ALWAYS be faithful to this hobby.

Just like with music - we may be experiencing trouble with drummers that seems to be never-ending - but Bed of Nails will NEVER give up…we Live to Rock & We Rock to Live

Same goes with collecting. I may have made the decision to keep my collection viewable only to those who express appreciation - but I continue to add to said collection & will always support our great mask/prop makers. ALWAYS :drinkers:

So “in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions” I am what I am, viewed by others as they wish…dammit y’all, now I gotta go watch that movie for the millionth time

As long as new people keep joining…

I get a kick out of the “I’m Leaving” threads. Half of the people post the “I’m Back!” thread within a month or two, and the other half never actually left in the first place, just stopped posting for a while. I just never saw the need for it.

Hahaha, great post! I am pretty new to the forum, but not to Halloween or collecting. I was reading over the classifieds and the recent posts was shocked to see so many people leaving. They all seem to have the same complaint or feeling as it were, " I am growing up, kids on the way, etc." I am married, have my first child on the way, and I couldn’t be happier with my recent join to this forum and continuing to collect the best slasher masks on the planet! Anyway, just happy to be here and see that some people still have the flame for collecting still burning bright!

:open_mouth: You are one of the best members on here Mike. I always enjoy reading your posts and looking at your pics. Please dont give everyone a scare like that ever again  :partyman: You had me worried for a sec there
