This is an absolutely misleading blog; in an interview with Irwin Yablans from the book “Going to Pieces, The rise and fall of the Slasher film” by Adam Rockoff, the entire production hinged on one person and one person only, Moustapha Akkad. If Irwin couldn’t get Akkad to finance the production, ‘Halloween’ would have never happened. Period and end of story; everything else listed in the blog: mask, camera, actors and title change was either fate or luck
