ok I am sorry mask4me…I think the mask is worth $5000
I dunno if the seller would go less than that cause he knows mine went for that much.
Hope this helps
Me personally wouldn’t pay more that 1,500 for a KH it’s just latex. It is a fine copy but shoot with 6500 I could buy a LTD and get it exactly like the one in HalloweeN
My limit on a KH original is 2k. My limit on a SLE is 1500.
But I don’t really have the desire to go after these masks anymore w/ so many other affordable accurate masks out there.
Other collectors have different prices in mind on these masks. I’m sure there are more than a few guys out there that can afford $6500 and will pay it. You just have to fish for them or get lucky.
Nothing wrong w/ selling a mask for what you ‘believe’ someone could ‘possibly’ think it’s worth. It makes me laugh when people are actually offended by an asking price.
Lots fo good points here. I don’t think it hurts to ask what ever price you hope to get. Someone will come a long and buy it. It might not fetch $6,500.00 but as Jon said his KH went for $5,000.00
Considering there are only a few made and it is quite possibly the best (in some people’s opinion at least) H2 mask in existence, why not?
Would I personally pay 6500.00? No. I wouldn’t pay the prices diamonds, a few baseball cards, certain antiques (I’ve seen TOILETS go for over 12 grand!!!), some first edition books and other itmes often fetch either. Does that mean they are not “worth” it? Again, No. In collecting an item is worth what the buyer feels it is worth.
WOW thats insane i would rather buy a car or house with tht kind of money than a hunk of latex that will eventually rot. no mask is worth that in my opinion. 200 or less. all the masks i have i paid $80 or less for them
Nice mask yet not worth anywhere near what this person is asking. We have spent thousands on our individual collections (she more than mine) I’ve never spent anything over $500- for a mask and even then when having the money to come good with something more interesting I just never wanted it bad enough to throw money away at something that looks no better or worse than some other Myers masks I have here. It all comes down to how bad you want it and will you drag yourself naked over broken glass to get it.
You can’t really establish values in a bootleg collectors market because there really aren’t any rules. All it would take is for someone to do a nice recast of the Hertlein and prices on the original would take a dive, although some would still want the original based on principle. The same thing happened with Jason masks- the prices just kept going up(to around $300 I think), then all of a sudden the recasts started popping up and the prices took a dive. Now they’re averaging like $50.
When you have no legalities to back you up, nothing can really be established. Comparing this market to any other market isn’t really the same.
