To be honest this is the first i have seen of this and had no idea it existed,there must be more and hopefuly they re-release original h2 on special edition sometime sooner than later.

That was the original ending written by Hill/Carpenter until John Carpenter took the movie over from Rick Rosenthal after seeing Rosenthal’s second attempt at editing the movie to flow faster; Carpenter completely changed the entire movie in the editing room. (Carpenter spent 2 weeks just editing the movie to shorten it and make it scarier, then decided to add adt’l scenes he thought would work.)
This ending is from the TV edit, which omits the head nurse’s blood draining death alltogether. They still use the footage of Jimmy wacking his head on the floor–not from slipping in her pool of blood after discovering her dead body, but instead, from the force of the nearby room exploding when Loomis blows up the Shape. Weird, but kinda cool, too.
If you haven’t seen the edited TV cut, it is very interesting. They seemed to have anticiped that the networks would wish to cut out the gore for tv broadcast of HALLOWEEN II, and filmed alternate Shape kills. You can catch it on AMC or CHILLER where it is still shown occasionally, usually with HALLOWEEN III: Season of the Witch.
