3 and a half year wait for me, but finally got mine done 2 months ago. Very nice work and I have to say Freddy Loper does top work as well with a less wait time. Can’t go wrong with either choice.
Yeah for me I look at it like this, I put my name on the list regardless because it doesn’t hurt too. So in those 3years I can buy trade sell and do pretty much whatever I want to hold me over till then. Then when it’s my turn then at least I won’t be thinkin man if only I put my name on that list 3 years ago.
JC’s price is really low for what you get and the finished piece is WELL worth it I can assure you. There’s a REASON that you routinely see James Carter finished masks go for 1K or more in the after market and that is because he’s that good! The wait time is due to demand, him also having his sign business to attend to and (of course and not least) a family.
That’s proof ofTWOthings Boob. One is that James’ work is worth the wait and second is that your collection makes most of ours embarrassed!
I don’t think it’s a good idea to justify sellers selling JC pieces in the after market for 1K+, especially since it’s nearly double the price of what everything would be new.
I can see you putting another $100-$200 on top because the buyer wouldn’t have to wait the 3 years, but unless it is a special or rare pull/finishing, 1K+ isn’t a realistic price.
