First off, I hate to bash anyone who is a professional actor/actress… but I have to say that I thought this woman’s acting was God-Awful. Every time she came on screen and opend her mouth, I actually cringed. Anyone else feel the same way? or is it just me? lol
I felt some kinda way towards her character throughout the film. I think it was her tendency to lie to Allyson just made her look like a bitch. And her voice is really high pitch and kind of annoying. I know she can’t help that, but it’s just my two cents.
For example, when she won’t stop yelling at the cops until Laurie screams at her…
I love her. Haha
I completely agree with you. I totally hated her character, and it seemed like she was reading from a cue card the whole time (but not in a good way like Brando .
There were a lot of actors I wasn’t a fan of in the new movie. Oddly enough, I thought the kids all did a great job - it was mostly some of the adults that irked me.
yeah the Dad (Ray?) was annoying.
It occurred to me last night, what if ‘what’s his name?’ (The Blogger guy) lived, and He actually becomes the next Loomis? That might be kind of cool. I mean he was right there when his Woman was murdered, he’d definitely carry a grudge and surely now understands that Myers is ‘purely and simply, Evil.’
…just a crazy thought I had last night reading the movie novel, it would be cool to see that guy survive his encounter and come back.
I actually thought that was kind of where they were going with that character… until he sadly died, lol.
Completely agree. It was abhorrent.
@Joe Grizzly
did he truly die? We saw him slumped in a corner and bleeding, and the book also doesn’t specifically say he died. It says he lost consciousness while seeing Dana being murdered.
…and honestly these movies, anyone can come back. Looks at RZ:1,…Loomis should’ve been dead after Michael attacked him, but he wasn’t.
Or Loomis in H2 (1981) blew himself up,…comes back in h4 with a few burn scars.
Anything is possible.
Danielle Harris should had play Karen.it would have been amazing
He did truly die. The book later goes on to talk about Hawkins seeing the scene of the crime. He describes his body and the confirmed amount of people killed at the service station was 4. 2 mechanics, 2 journalists. The movie made it seem like he could’ve survived, and I was always waiting for him to pop back up, but unfortunately the novel confirmed his death
Yea the tone of her voice alone was enough for me to dislike her character.
ahh, ok. Yeah I just got to the part where Myers puts the mask on and, “feels complete again.”
Ive always had a soft spot for Judy Greer. Been watching her on Arrested Development and Archer for years. Her acting was a touch off in a couple parts but I think she played the part she was given well overall. I thought she was very convincing as the daughter who has done literally everything she can besides cut all ties to Laurie for a chance at a normal life that isn’t suffocated by the Boogeyman.
Definitely was not a fan. Though my heart would’ve rather have seen Danielle Harris in that role, Vera Farmiga would’ve been the best choice, IMO.
