For the people who have copies that were released by Ken,the fact that the other copies aren’t recasts is bad.Even though it’s nice to say you have one that is all-Ken,the production of them from the mold totally kills the rarity factor.
I don’t think the value of the real deal KH SLE copies will decrease, I’m talking about the original pulls made by KH. As for the ones made by AS or Mayne, sadly I think yes. I know some people will just not care and buy a non-legitimate copy behind the closed doors like Matt L said but I would tell those buyers good luck getting their money back. People even still buy Warlocks nowadays which has a very nasty story behind it. I do remember now speaking to DW’s wife in Indianapolis in 2011 when she told me that DW bought the mold from KH. It never hit me that it was the KH SLE mold so it’s possible that AS might been making some non-legitimate pulls from the original mold on the side during the KH/DW/AS project. But, I still believe there are recasts out there as I think some were acquired from AS/Mayne BEFORE AS got ahold of the mold. Can anyone confirm this? Either way, the non-legitimate copies are so much different from KH’s legitimate copies, that just shows that AS/Mayne’s mask-making skills are not as good as KH’s… Not even close.
Now, I do agree with Zephro, KH shouldn’t have sold the mold to DW as it was supposed to be limited. DW shouldn’t have let AS use it. The mold should have been destroyed and KH/DW/AS should have never existed. AS can’t even sculpt that good so it was really the KH’s hard work that he put into the KH SLE as it really is a slightly retooled KH SLE. It’s laughable that AS’s name is a part of the name KH/DW/AS. I don’t want to make it seem like I’m someone who thinks he can get anyone banned per one’s request but I really think AS should be banned for selling forged copies like Mayne did.
Doesn’t suprise me Ken thought that about AS’s recast Rare, it looked pretty hideous for sure to say the least, i thought it would have been news to him aswell, i also agree Andrew should be banned as he appears quite an unsavoury character, and also has quite a shady history.

I’m happy with mine and I am definitely not interested in selling them at all, I’m overly excited receiving them. 
Just like to throw in that as 50-oNe-50 wrote, this has been one incredibly well written thread on an obviously complex and sensitive issue. Thank you to all who have contributed with respect for one another and have written intelligently about this VERY important subject with respect to this passionate hobby/pastime. I have read the first 5 pages of this dialogue 3 times in a row now, that’s how informative and engrossing it has been. This particular topic is all very new to me. That being said, are Dick Warlock, Santagato, Colin nor Ken in this community anymore? Why wouldn’t they jump in at some point in this dialogue to at least try to defend or clarify what has been discovered here?

Dick Warlock hasn’t frequented here in a few years, i heard he got tired of the drama and BS, wether that’s factually true or not i have no clue, just what i have heard, Colin was banned for reasons already mentioned in this thread, Andrew is still an active member and even has a project in motion in the project section however i don’t think he really has much to do with general discussion anymore after past arguments etc but sure’ there is nothing stopping him from coming in here to defend himself, as for Ken, i am unsure if he is even a member here now.
You people who have known about this shit for a long time before now are as bad as the recasters. Sitting back whilst people pay thousands of their hard earned money on recasts lol. I have read through all these pages and we haven’t gotten anywhere ha ha. Still nobody knows what exists and which are fakes. Well oh well I guess its just the unsuspecting buyers who will be losing out 
They aren’t recasts tho, as has already been mentioned, they came from the same mold so there was no need to recast it, albeit they weren’t pulled by Ken blah blah…same latex ? probably not, i am not even sure who knew and who didn’t at the time, also it’s not everyones job to do other peoples homework for them. at least with this thread existing we have had our eyes opened and are more aware of things and have somewhat of an idea what to lookout for in suspect copies.

Dick bought the SLE mould from Ken, did he not? Dick gave or lent the mould to Andrew, the _original_SLE mould, so I hate to burst your bubble but it isn’t recasting.
How do we even know dick didn’t let him do what he did? Until we have a definite answer to that we can’t keep pointing fingers.
After Ken sold the mould to dick, if dick let Andrew cast those SLEs, then tough shit guys. Ken doesn’t own the mould anymore. Dick does. Whatever dick chooses to do with it is out of our, and Ken’s control. He can be as unhappy with it as he likes.
Personally, I call that not having a sense of pride in your work. Can we do anything about it? No. But it’s exactly that kind of attitude that has driven the Myers end of mask collecting to the depth that it is at now. I was never a fan of the Beckstrom masks, but at least the man has enough pride and respect for collectors to not say one thing and do another. I could care less about the exclusivity of being a K.H. owner. I wasn’t the original owner of mine when all this first went down, but I can certainly level with and feel for the original owners who got F’ed over in the process. Me, yes, I’m worried about getting back what I paid for for my copy.
Go back and look at my posts, I have been posting about this for three years! Start when Andrew announced the KH/DW/AS, I went nuts and everyone defended him!
I believe I was the first veteran member to speak out against Andrew and try to bring this topic to the board’s attention. What did I get for my efforts? I got flamed HARD. Zephro was also vocal about Andrew’s shady practices, but it was all for not. Many threads on this topic existed in the past. I tried to educate the board, but the threads continually were locked, heavily edited to omit incriminating evidence against Andrew, and/or the threads were completely removed. You want to know why I have no interest in sharing the names of the collectors, who I know to own forgeries? It’s because I’m tired of trying to do the right thing and no one listening and lookin like the bad guy for speaking out. I tried, Chris tried…the board just refused to listen until it was to late.

I can’t say I’m surprised to hear that the Warlock/Santagato/Hertlein mask is a minimally retooled version of the SLE. Santagato doesn’t possess the sculpting skills to pull off such an exact replica from scratch. His previous work was a pretty good indication of that.
