Hello! I just joined the site, I’ve been trying to find the pieces to do a 2018 Shape costume and so far I just have the 2018 ToT mask… And while I still want to get it rehauled as a display piece, which I also need recommendations on, it fits a bit too tightly to wear for costuming – Is there a better option for those of us who can’t quite wear the ToT mask?

Welcome man. Unfortunately it is the luck of the draw. For the most part the copies are on the smaller side while some are close to 24’. There aren’t any other 2018 options as TOTS own the rights. A few indy artists made sculpts they sold lucratively on eBay but they were limited and not sure they were any larger than the TOTS
I would’ve definitely snagged one copy in time for this Halloween if it wasn’t the umpteenth tight replica from TOTS
There are a few Indi makers that still make them bigger then the tots. I actually have one by Sykotic Fx on the way and it looks amazing. Its rehauled by FFS.
you can get whatever you want from indie artists, but considering how fairly good the TOTS 2018 look I could’ve got a decent mask for 60 bucks and in time for this Halloween if they’d made a larger size for bigger heads.
Well the TOTS mask was from the master so sculpt wise it was 100% accurate. as for size doubt they would make a bigger one and if they did it would not be from the master. I have the TOTS H40 and it fit my head perfect. I have a 23.5in head and a fairly large beard.
my head is a little over 24", I saw people looking terrible due to the mask hugging the face so I didn’t wanna take that risk, but yes I agree that among TOTS the 2018 is the most accurate, for 60 bucks it’s a no brainer if it fits right.
I only bought it because it was a master mold mask, even knowing it might not fit to own something like that is rare. But yes I understand the wanting to wear it part. For a 24in head it might be a little snug and uncomfortable to wear.
