Yep them cheap 60 some dollar ones or however they are. The one on the right though I did cut the arm at the elbow filled with a foam sealer and used duct tape to bend the arm… then made a casting of my own hand in a holding pose, cut the hand at the wrist and glued and used some brackets I had laying around to attach the hand to the wrist which also was filled with foam sealer. I didn’t mess with the legs as I didn’t want to mess up the balance but with the coveralls can’t really tell the pose as much.

how difficult is the process of making your own casting of your hand? I wanted Nick of handiboy to do it, but he said he is no longer taking orders on them until after Halloween. Thought about trying it on my own

Not hard at all you just need a bag of alginate and a bag of Molding plaster… got both at local Hobby Lobby… you mix the ultimate with water…wait till it starts to gel a bit, stick your hand in however you want and hold it in place till the alginate becomes a complete gel. That’s your mold. Then you take and mix the plaster, pour it into your mold let sit for few hours or overnight. You tear apart the alginate and there is your plaster hand.

I had to use a dremel tool to file down a lot of the inside if the hand and the fingers because I didn’t have a big enough bucket to keep my hand open wide enough in the mold. But you should get the idea.

since this is going to be my first time ever attempting a mannequin, I wanted to ask about the coveralls. What brand should I be looking for, and what color and size? I am purchasing a 6 ft tall mannequin tonight on Amazon. I am probably going to use the 78 TOTS mask.

I just bought a static Michael myers prop from trick n treat studios. Is there a way to make the latex hand close on his knife. Using some wires bent into his fingers is my thought?
