I thought there were three masks made for H1, and two got burned in H2?
Someone fill me in. Were there more than three, or did they not burn a Myers mask in the Tramer scene, guess that could have been stock from Don Post, similar to the H4 blue masks?
The member who knows is an orignal member who’s very well respected and trusted. I am definately gonna take his word for it, but I do hope we see actual pictures Atleast from Sean Clark, they can stay anonymous just let Sean take the pics.
I’ll make the first offer: One dollar and a packet of bubblegum lol. Seriuosly, I hope they show it and give us the details all about, and also I hope that people will leave the owner alone and not DM them about it.
The one in the red turtle neck sweater is Jamie Lee Curtis. She did Saturday Night Live around 1982/83. Not sure exactly but it may have been to promote Trading Places. During the commercials they would show photos they took of that week’s host around New York, and she had a number with a guy dressed as Michael using that stunt mask. I believe she borrowed it from Debra Hill or John Carpenter, but it wasn’t the Hero mask because Dick Warlock took it after the H2 Wrap Party.
Sean Clark is an interesting guy. I met him around 1999/2000 when he wanted me to contribute to his personal site Mask World News. Around then you really only had a few Halloween/Mask sites that were getting popular. The first was HMA, The Halloween Mask Association that was a message board, but would sell some custom pieces. The second was Gary Phillips at MMP and his site where he would repaint 1999 Shatner masks and sell them on E-bay for a lot of money, which was also new. He was a rip off artist that screwed a lot of people over with his Samhain mask. I was one of them. Sean new Gary and they were at odds with one another, so Sean created a site to expose the industry. This was 2000 when Ken Hertlien came out of nowhere.
The reason Sean got his name known in the infancy of this hobby is he had an original 75 Kirk that he had a friend recast and sold them as Myers Masks. Back then this stuff was so new many of us only had a Don Post “The Mask” and didn’t even know it was a Kirk that was used. Unfortunately when Sean’s friend recast his mask he destroyed Sean’s original and he never got it back. Plus the pulls off the recast were very small. They looked great, but most people couldn’t wear them. I am happy to see that Sean is a major player in this industry right now.
Anyway, enough for my long post. I haven’t thought about this stuff in a long time because I got out of the hobby, but watched Halloween Kills tonight and thought I would check this site out again. I remember how fun it was when this site started. I lost my original login but I was under the name Guardian back in the day when this site was created. Happy Halloween Everyone, best time of the year
