Such an awesome story! I truly enjoyed reading this! I’m in the same boat. I also have a 85DP that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Ive had mine since early 90’s. Mine is also in bad shape. Now because of this post I have options!

The structure of this mask is really beautiful. I love what age has done to it. You can see so much of the hero in it.

Honestly, I never did figure out who to even send it to. I believe I finally did come across the guy people call the mask doctor, but if it’s the right person, he isn’t taking on any new work right now (per his website). Is there anyone else?
I just sent him an email. If he can’t we’ll have to see who else could help us out.
