Just have to add some spray paint now!

Looks good ! So, eyes obviously, and what did you do with the hair ? Sideburns and restyle ?

Thanks! Yeah. Eyes, took off sideburns, teased hair a bit(the hair on this mask is perfect!), and cut a mouth slit.

Cool  Will look forward to seeing it painted !

Eyes look great!
I’d stop there.

Thanks! I think I may actually just use some Krylon flat white spray paint from Walmart to lightly mist it. It worked for the movie mask right? Lol

I wouldn’t recommend that. Everyone says the paint will destroy the latex over time and crumble up.

The eye cuts look pretty good, maybe dremmel them up some to smooth it out but otherwise looks good. You can always paint/sponge on the white if you don’t have an airbrush.

Good point. Any recommended liquid latex and paint brands?

I’d imagine any would work but I’ve only used the pre mixed paints from https://www.monstermakers.com/ so I couldn’t suggest other specific brands.

Omg… you’re amazing! Thanks so much!! I can put that right into my airbrush without any other mixing?!

Yep. They suggest using an external mixed airbrush though as it’ll clog up a normal one pretty quickly, I’ve tried and it sucks lol.

Correct?

Yep. I would suggest getting black as well for weathering but that’s entirely up to you.

Looking damn good so far!!

Go with “fish belly white” spray paint. That’s what Tommy Lee Wallace used. Then mist some black spray paint through the hair and BAM!

Thanks so much!! I already ordered that other paint. I can always rub it off and re do if I don’t like it though:)

Agreed 100 percent.

Ya mean no white paint?

I’ve not seen one yet, but do you guys think one of these masks would make for a great H4? It be a quick, easy conversion. Just cut the eyes and paint!

If you are definitely going to try and spray paint it you might use “Liquitex professional spray paint” (rattle can). It’s water based instead of solvent so I seriously doubt it will damage latex. Just not sure how good it will adhere to the latex. You will just half to try extremely light coats.
