My first Kirk conversion

So this is my first attempt at converting a TOTS Kirk Mask to a Halloween 1 Nick Castle Shape. I’m a little stuck, not sure about the eyes. I guess I’m just looking for suggestions or advice on nailing the look. Something just seems off to me and after studying hundreds of reference photos, I’m asking, what am I missing? What am I doing wrong?

You’re one the right track.
I really wouldn’t touch the eyes now. They look fine. :drinkers: :drinkers:
I see too many guys cutting them waaaay too big and they forget that it’s Castle’s head that’s stretching them out.

You nailed the eyes.

Amazing job on the eyes for a first attempt, that’s the most difficult part in my opinion.

As others have stated I’d leave the eyes be. I’ve seen too many people make them way too large ruining the entire look of the mask. You did an awesome job, especially for a first attempt. My only advice is to use a more matte white latex paint to get rid of that shiny look but it truly looks killer man

Looks great so far. From what i’ve seen with the Tots Kirks is that the mold itself is shit. They’re so bloated, thats why they look off but what you did so far looks great. Keep going!!!

Thanks, guys! Yes, this is the one TOTS is selling off their website; the latex is too thick and shiny and the mask is all-around too wide—I’m desperately trying to avoid HII and H4 looks. I’m toying with the idea of rubber cementing a foam insert into the chin to help my face stretch the mask out a little—I don’t have Castle’s chin haha—but I’m not married to the idea. The thing is just so darned wide. And these photos are after I ripped out enough hair for three more masks—TOTS puts a ridiculous, even ludicrous amount of hair on these.
