Myers for the opening night

Hey,

I was invited to be Myers for the opening night at a local cinema to create atmosphere and scare the guests!

The manager was a horror fan and got me to hide in the cinema until it was full, he then switched the lights out and got me to stand up in front of the screen, then raised the lights and the reaction was amazing. I walked amongst the isles staring at people and doing the head tilt.

My costume is not movie accurate but it certainly did the job!

I was also hiding in the entrance and exits to other screenings throughout the night as it was a huge multi screen complex. All fantastic staff. I even stayed in costume through the entire movie which TOTALLY freaked out the surrounding people.

A great night, here are a handful of pictures I was sent.

Thanks for looking!

Congrats man that is badass and an experience you will never forget!

Wow, that’s awesome man. I wish there was someone dressed as Myers when I went.

Very cool! Our theater wouldn’t allow costumes

Looks great brother!
Hope you had a good time.

Wonderful Steve!!

Hey what theatre was that where are you from ?

Thanks everyone! Had a blast :axe:

Just realized that you are the guy who got surprised with the mask from your wife. This truly is an amazing story that you’ll hold with you forever brother. Those pictures are nuts and I would be having the time of my life in that situation!

  1. Cool pics, glad you had fun

  2. I paid $15. for my ticket to sit on a cloth seat in a theater that smelled vaguely like piss,…where is this theater with big padded leather looking seats like that? Wow!

…I now officially hate my local theater.

Damn man sorry to hear that. My first viewing was actually at a local family owned theater for $6 :open_mouth:

Excellent pictures mate. A great experience !

My theater was a Regal AMC, the ticket was $14.73 and the theater had that stink to it like homeless people had been in there watching a movie.

Like a mix of piss, BO, and cocoa butter.

…that’s how it smelled though. It was really pretty bad, like you could taste it a little. I even moved seats a few times trying to get away from the smell but it seemed like that’s how the whole theater smelled.

it was theater 13, so I have to remember if I go to see another movie there not to see a movie in theater #13. Just get a refund and try again.

It’s like the smell was in the seats.

Love it Duel. Most of been a great time for all.

Awesome man! Looks like it was a blast  Hey great to see you around Swampy! :drinkers:

Blast from the past! Hope life is treating you kindly good sir

Awesome

That had to be a ton of fun to do and from the pictures looks like you had an awesome time

LOVE this picture below, lol! Looks like you had a great time Steve. Your theater looks exactly like the one I went to, complete with reclining seats. Ours is part of the “Marquee” chain here, is yours a Marquee as well?
