Site is unsecure, not going to link anything thats not secure brother. And I actually did find your work amazing and even stated it. And the fact that you think i stole it is funny to me because i stated i found it online. and oh dont worry, like i said they actually did contact me and they are PISSED that your information is incorrect when they spent years of hard work making those mask.

so ya people did contact me and they are not happy. Like I said since most of this information is actually incorrect I will be re working this entire thing and didn’t mean no harm. Respected your work and effort put into this and stated it was amazing. So to even think or make me look like an asshole thats crazy to me. You could have responded to me or messaged me and I wouldeve gave you a free SSL for your website to make it secure and worked with you to correct some of this stuff. I like to preserve history and keep the community safe part of the reason i run https://halloweenmask.info to prevent scamming and other S*** of that nature but i dont appreciate you coming on here making me look like some asshole thief when its the complete opposite. You didn’t write that whole thing because you dislike this community. You did it to preserve history just like I did. Like I said i meant no harm if I was going to steal it i wouldnt have mentioned it came from some amazing blog.

Based on the screenshots you posted, to say Nikos is pissed seems like a massive overreach. Regardless of that, Nikos can certainly reach out if he wants but this information is either directly obtained from posts he made or from observations that have been posting regarding his work. Any wrong information left in there at this point is either in terms of the order or something that is 100% derived from his 98 that he claims is not. Take his 75K for example. It’s just a recast of his 98 proto with some tooling done to it, a fact he has adamantly denied for years even though we know it is true.

If they are so wrong like you say, please go ahead and provide proof or more accurate information to back up those claims. The fact that you are taking Nik at that word shows how little you truly care about the information. Sometimes pictures tell a much clearer story than the artist. Take for example the 75k project that I just referenced. If you were to take Nikos at his word you’d be saying that it is a ground up sculpt when it has been proven many times over that it is a retool of his 98 proto.

I already noted that I appreciate the compliment in my first post. If you truly respected the work though, you would have A. not copied it in the first place without asking if it was okay, and B. taken it down when the original author blatantly stated his disapproval and asked for it to be removed. Instead you went on the defense and immediately jumped to how I’m “trying to make you look like an asshole” and how the “information is all wrong”. I asked you politely to take it down in my first post and was very respectful. I’m not trying to make you look like an asshole, I was simply saying that I did not approve of my work to be directly copy and pasted off of my website and onto your own. Would you like if I copied your podcast word for word and posted it to my own website without any inclination that it came from another source? Probably not.

If you think the information is all wrong, then by all means go ahead and remove it all from your website then and make it yourself. You shouldn’t have a problem doing that if you think that.

You initially stated that you reuploaded it in the event that it were to be taken down or something happen. I, as the original author, said that I already have it all backed up and that there is no cause for concern there. You then expressed concern over the security of the website, which I’ve now explained was as a result of my SSL being toggled off earlier this month while I made some changes and renewed my domain, not because it is inactive. It still sees many views and form submissions. As someone who has their own website with their own content, I’m sure you can understand my concerns here and not wanting my content to be directly copied onto your website. Now having addressed your concerns, I’m asking that you remove my content from your website. If it’s as wrong as you say then you should have no problem doing that.

I 100% agree with GhostlyShape here. Icy, please get your act together. Stealing people’s work is 100% unacceptable, why don’t you make your own guide if you disagree with GhostlyShape’s information?

Also, artists can BS their statements because they do not want to either be exposed or more, this applies to anyone. Making a 100% conclusion just because they said this does not mean it is right.

On the side note, I appreciate you making a verification website to separate actual artists and businesses from scammers!

Hell, I just wish there were updated pics of my work on these charts lol. My work for 3-4 years ago has not aged well compared to now.

Ice, just give Ghost the credit for his work on your site. Problem solved. No harm/no foul. I don’t know how websites work, but couldn’t you just link his site and give him a shout-out for all of his work?

You can’t blame a guy for responding the way he did after all the work he put in to make those charts and then getting nearly zero credit for them. We see this time and time again in the hobby. Ask Billy Kirkus how that feels, I’m sure he has a pretty good idea.

When people ask what the problem with Facebook is, this is it right here. All the information the dude basically just stole from TheGhostlyShape has been here on the forum or his site for God knows how long. So many people out there who are just getting into this and thinking they are enlightening people with some new information, when so many of us have been lurking this forum for a decade or two
