Just an opinion about the Psycho mask, not fact… Have you owned both the 75K and the Creep? I’m not getting what you’re saying about the simplicity of the Creep? It’s no more simple than a 75k… Lit right and shot right, both masks are killer. I have owned 75Ks, Creeps, Shats etc and all work well, when put on camera. The fact that the 75K comes from a 98, it can’t get a whole lot more accurate than that… And I don’t say that to demean the Shats and Creeps at all… Hell I have all these masks and love them all and my most stolen image, is off the Creep!

Agreed Si, I would say the 75K is a lot more low key detail wise than the creep but due to its linage to the 75 kirk it is obviously VERY accurate. Do I personally think the creep and shats are as accurate as the 75K…no…but the detail in them and the costume shots with them are
Awesome comparison shots si, that’s what a lot of new members are wanting to see right there, those together to compare, so kudos to you for that. no I have not owned a 75K, I would love to have one someday, and I do understand the '98, relative to original Kirk and all that, but like I said its jmo, but I don’t know what it is, just to me the Shats look better if converted properly, like I said above cant really compare creep to 75K, that one is obvious, that’s why I said 75K to shat is more comparable. Yes they are all awesome, jmo I like the shat better.
True, any mask clay pressed from an actual 75 Kirk or of Kirk origin will have the most “accurate details”.
May that be a NO NM78, Psycho, NAG MMK or a NAG 75K. To Me these masks make GREAT display masks.
Strangely claypressed masks “TO ME” do not seem to have the versatility of masks sculpted from scratch or from the Shatner lifecast. Masks such as the Creep/Shat, KH and the NAG 2k may not be spot on to an actual 75 Kirk in details but seem to distort more properly or accurately compared to a claypressed mask.
This explains why many of the collectors here collect many versions and go for variety.
Nag, Nightowl, Does it really Matter? It all depends on what YOU SEE as “the” Mask! Who cares on what other peoples Preferences are! I own them all,(masks mentioned) They are all equal and Unique in their own way! Buy Both! That will solve your problem! Bob
I prefer masks on a mask by mask basis, not the maker. NAG has had many more Myers masks available, so there is a wider selection to choose from. Nightowl has a more eclectic collection of masks outside of the Myers field and more concept Myers masks.
